  1. I'm with Jason on this one spend the exrta $50 and get the 1 1/8" Milwaukee if you are on that battery platform. Now if you are on the Bosch battery platform get the Bosch
  2. For real John very glad you are ok. If you where in a wheel chair I would be more then happy to push you around and pile all of the free shit you get at the show up on your chair it would just make it easier for me. I'm looking forward to hanging out and having a few with you and your partner in crime.
  3. The First thing is to check your local codes for your footers. Most places now require a 12" footer. Then you have to consider how you house was built does it have a solid rim joist or is it engineered. How to attach it to the house. A lot of places's require some type of Lateral Load Connection. Decks are not that hard to build but are structures that need to be designed to adequately resist certain stresses. here are some links that can help you out http://www.strongtie.com/ftp/fliers/F-DECKCODE13.pdf
  4. Looking good BigMike you could have saved yourself a step by just putting the wonderboard up on the studs unless you had to pad the walls out. A tip for when you do you shower at your house. Use a solid material for your shower sill and have a sleight slop into the shower so the water wants to run back into the shower. It is best not to have joints where water wants to lay.
  5. I was a big Dewalt fan their headquarters is 15 min from my house and they had a service center there and I would go their all the time and get some great deals. When it was time to start to replace these tools Dewalt was lagging behind so I had to move on. Its wasn't a bad break up we remained friends but now they are slipping back in.
  6. I hear what you are saying Jason. I was all red now I have some yellow slipping in. The framer, the new drywall screw gun, the 20v miter saw and now I'm looking at the new finish nailer.
  7. I have the Bostitch Strapshot Metal Connector Nailer and use the hell out of that thing. Now that you have to use so many types of straps and hangers a 20 volt one would be sweet.

  11. Thank god you are ok and now lets make this about me. Who was I going to hang out with at the Festool connect next year if it would have been worst that ChrisK guy. All joking aside I have been in a few bike accidents and they are not fun but I still ride not as much as i use to but I still get out. Looking forward to hanging out again and I hope that Chris can make it. Take care of your yourself and have you gave it any thought to who you would leave you tools to if you deiced to take the bake out for a spin.
  12. I have never seen anyone retailer offer a discount on any Festool. The price is the price and if they do give a discout they end up here.
  13. You will not regret buying the Stiletto. 2 years ago at a JLC show i was talking to the rep and he told me if I wasn't 100% happy with it he would refund me. Lets just say I still have the hammer and have bought some other things fro their line.

  19. as I look at this my first question is that a load bearing wall. Do your ceiling joist run from front to back or side to side. what everybody is good. It would have a much cleaner look and also you could put a bar top in with some stools it would give you some more room in the kitchen.
  20. How are they going to sell you extra battery's if they give you 2. It is the american way just give them enough and then sell them more.
