  1. Congrats guys! Excellent videos, keep them coming!!
  2. Once a fire gets to that size nothing is gonna slow or stop it though.. just try to prevent it's spread to surrounding buildings and watch it burn
  3. Haha, at least an extra long lunch break!! It sure did go fast.. I'm assuming it had no drywall installed which would have helped slow things down a bit
  4. Would ya look at that, there it is! I wonder why it wasn't included.. I wish they had tested the makita with higher ah batterie. Maybe in a month or so they can rerun the test with the Dewalt and new makita batteries and add it to the results
  5. The comparison only included 7 1/4" cordless circular saws... as far as I know dewalt doesn't have one
  6. madman, I know, that new never clean filter tech is really cool! i wish more vac makers would start using it!!! almost as sweet as the tiger DNA in Stabila levels too freaking funny!
  7. hahaha this dude is for sure Drunk or high or probably both! good drinking game would be to take a shot every time he says its the best! you would be slammed in like 3 minutes pretty sad if thats the best thing he has ever bought in his life also i like how Makita clearly says it has 10 minute run time, by the end of the video he is saying how it runs for like 30 minutes DAN AND ERIC, Pay attention.. you could really learn a thing or two about making a quality review video from this guy!! maybe he offers coaching. time to step up your game guys LOL
  8. sweet setup! it all looks so purdy how are you liking the promaster van? i have a carpenter buddy that just bought one, he's been having a few small issues like a coolant leak and door latches not working..
  9. I hear ya on this one! thats a major downside.. Im not sure if i will even do it, sometimes the temptation is there! Makita has so many cool new Brushless tools over in Europe now like that badass new impact, jigsaw and circular saw. i get impatient waiting for them to make it over here. also there is talk of a new reciprocating saw on the horizon.. that might be what pushes me over the edge if they don't release it in the US quickly
  10. Chris, you make a good case! ok, bottle opener makes the cut!! Conductor and Dwain, Im thinking with cordless stuff the only thing that wouldn't be comparable is the charger.. 18v is 18v, thats my understanding anyway.. buying the bare tools would take care of this am i right in thinking that i could just use my current makita 18v charger and batteries and not have to deal with anything else?
  11. Wow, just saw this!! That's insane.. that can't be an easy jump from balcony to balcony, things could have went a lot worse for this dude.. glad they didnt!

  16. Claudio, sorry I'm a little late to the welcome party.. glad to have you here!! Italy is such an amazing country! I was there about 1 year ago, stayed in Positano and Amalfi first, this had to be my favorite place i have ever been in the world! Then we spent a day seeing pompei, Vesuvius and Herculaneum.. after that we finished up the trip in Rome which was just an amazing place to be!! Such a great place with so much to see and so much history! John
  17. THIS THING IS THE BEST!!!! hahahaha model number BCL.... whatever! if you don't watch the whole thing you need to watch around 1:30 i can't stop watching it, i really needed a good laugh!! enjoy
  18. I saw this over on Pro Tool Reviews, thought it was a great review that a lot of people here might be interested in. http://www.protoolreviews.com/tools/power/cordless/saws-cordless/full-size-cordless-circular-saw-shootout/12465/ its a shame they couldn't get their hands on some 4ah Makita batteries or even the 5ah that are due out next month.. it could have really changed the outcome of the run time tests
  19. Dan, that's what I was thinking.... release the Milwaukee first then trickle it down to ryobi. I'll keep crossing my fingers. Hopefully the have something in the works, like DR said, their lights are pretty lame.. they could definitely use it!
  20. Alright, DR gets the kapex $60 is such a small fee for such innovation!! Lol. That dude must be on Crack. That thing isn't worth $5 he should just turn it in for scrap metal
  21. Damn! That thing is nice looking... clearly the next big thing to hit the market. Anyone want a free kapex, I'm gonna trade up to this thing Actually, from a little digging, it seems to be an early 80's Black and Decker 7715 and it most certainly didn't come from the factory like that!!
  22. Thats been my experiance, they truly amazed me especially the metal and plaster they can cut (bosch even says ceramic tile although i havent tried) they might not be the fastest or best choice for wood cutting but they will get the job done. the best blade i have come across for just wood (even with some embedded nails, not screws) is the Fein e-cut long life
  23. you blew through 4 of the carbide tipped bosch blades of a flooring repair?!?! how many nails did you cut? i used one blade to cut dozens of trim nails and framing nails, probably 8 hardened GRK screws, 6 of the nailing straps on old metal outlet boses (probably equates to 1.5' of 3/32 steel), at leats a dozen holes in plaster walls for old work boxes, wood etc. etc. etc... while that one blade is slowing down with metal (it will still cut it) it still has visible teeth and works for plaster, sheetrock etc. that was all one blade! with old bi-metal blades (even imperial or Fein) i would be lucky to get through 2 or 3 screws before the blade was 100% shot never mind plaster!
