  1. I hear you. Don't let the forum push you into a purchase that will be hard to justify. Get the right tool for your needs and you'll be fine. If I were a diyer/maker/weekend warrior I would buy Ryobi. They are cheap, tools are good, easy to get and they will get the job done. However, if your in the Milwaukee platform already, I think the brushed tools are still great. In fact, I'm eventually gonna pick up some m12 brushed drills because I won't need all that power or run time. Anyway, good luck with your search and don't forget to posts pics of whatever saw you decide to getSent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Tapatalk
  2. Ricky! It's "you can never have enough CLAMPS!" Not Batteries, CLAMPS! Lol...just kidding. That's an impressive amount of DeWalt Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Tapatalk

  4. Stick with the compressor + Add the cordless nailer = Happy woodworking Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Tapatalk
  5. I've seen a few of his videos. He seems to really bash on tools, especially Milwaukee. I'd like if he offered an example of a better alternative but it's shpeel I guess. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Tapatalk
  6. Hahah...wow that's crazy, what the hell is a JMC? Oh that blade sticking out is crazy too Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Tapatalk
  7. Thank you man!Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Tapatalk
  8. Hahaha...I seen a video pitting a DeWalt and a Milwaukee drill, the guy threw both drills in a cement mixer and let it go for awhile. The Milwaukee didn't work but the DeWalt came out fine. I thought the test was a little dramatic, lol. I mean who abuses their tools that much? I haven't seen too many people use a tool, and then drop it on ground. I'll set my tool on the ground or on a hook, but never have I just thrown it across the room haha. Your right, Respect your tool, and it will respect you.
  9. I would say I'm a tool user like I'm a responsible car owner. Routine maintenance and cleaning so they are always working well. If a corded tool breaks, I'll try my best to repair it. With all the money I spend on tools, I hope to keep them forever and pass them down someday.
  10. I've got the Stanley one but after using the DeWalt Tstaks, I just use the Stanley for storing miscellaneous electrical and mudding tools. Yeah, I'm not a fan of these cantilever boxes.
  11. Same goes for you...nice collection of DeWalts man!
  12. If I hadn't used up all my likes! haha...nice collection of tools you got there
  13. Every month, a little tool shop here in Hawaii offer's some pretty good deals on tools. I understand that most people don't live here, but you might wanna see the Ad anyway.
  14. And it's already begun...come to the dark side. lol. All kidding aside though, I wish DeWalt would really flesh out the 12V lineup. I had a 12V Impact Driver and Drill/Driver that was very nice for small woodworking projects. After taking a look at what some of the other companies are offering it's hard to stay with DeWalt for some people. I like the Milwaukee M12 tools but I only have the 5-3/8" circ saw for now. I want to get the M12 drill driver for drilling screws and driving screws in carcases.
  15. Yeah I agree with you Comp, I usually buy tools new( except for hand tools, occasionally I'll find a bargain at a garage sale or something ). I feel like it's a mystery box when you buy something used, hard to tell the extent of abuse it's been through.
  16. That's awesome, a future Tool Nut in the making lol. Take care
  17. Been looking around to get deals on some Milwaukee tools and came across the Reconditioned Tool section on the CPO website. What are your thoughts on these Reconditioned Tools? Anyone have experience with buying Reconditioned Tools through CPO? If they are not too bad, I wouldn't mind saving a buck or two on some tools.
  18. Nice review Yikkit, and congratulations on the new addition to your family ( I'm making an assumption from your avatar pic)
  19. That joke reminded me of this video, it's an old one I know, but in case anyone missed it:
  20. BWAHAHAHHAAHAHA....ahhh that's such a great joke, thanks for the laugh Comp56!
  21. Welcome to the TIA Crew! I just started my Milwaukee addiction so it's great to have another Milwaukee guy
  22. I had a 2001 4x4 Ford Ranger XLT Extended Cab with a Camper and a 1980 something or other Ford F-150. I loved both. The F-150 was nice because it had a big tool box and racks. I was able to load up full sheet goods without any trouble. The Ranger was great because there was room for all the tools in the cab and i could throw things in the camper and lock it. The Ranger was also a bit smaller so I could get into parking structures a whole lot easier. I don't have experience with a van, but for me, I needed a truck to haul lumber. Another thing great about the ranger was that it had 4 doors that made it easy to put my tools in the back without having to lean the fronts seats over. If I had to load long pipes or lumber and lock it up, I could open up the little window in the cab and poke materials through there and lock the camper so everything was inside, nothing sticking out the back of the truck.
  23. Thanks KWC for confirming the new DeWalt 20V Max XRP Cordless Belt Sander! Your the best! haha
  24. Man those Skil worm drives never die, lol
  25. Yep, I second what Conductor has to say here. I've always been skeptical about cordless tools in general, but especially when It came to saws. I've used the older blue and the newer green version of the Ryobi circ saws and found them to be very weak. After using the 2530, I know it's only a 12V, but it has just amazed me. Now I can't wait to get the 2731.
