  3. Both of my Makitas. DTD154 and my subcompact. The Makita double ended bits are much better. They are pretty impressive. I had never used the Makita bits before. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Careful with those double ended bits, as they wear they get stuck easily in your impact collet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. But I do love my pocket Amprobe! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. I like trying out the others too. It's more of a hobby, I play around with them but always go back to fluke. The quality, the feel and the accuracy make It hard to use anything else! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. I was made an offer I couldn't refuse... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Some tools don't need to be brushless. Brushless has been over-hyped. Hilti is a great example, they use a 4 pole motor, rather than a 2 pole, on their badass drill that is pushing 1060 in-lbs of torque. The efficiency and run time is almost exactly the same as a brushless too. The big difference is that drill work forever, dust, moisture, cold etc. It doesn't have the limitations of so much control electronics and potential failure points. Heat kills electronics, tools under load produce heat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  12. Sounds good. Maybe a nice disclaimer stating that it id not a "whose brand is better debate" thread! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Good point, if yard tools are a factor, I guess Ryobi is the way to go! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. My .02 is the same as always. Go Ridgid. It's rebranded AEG and often it is identical to some of the Milwaukee tools. Milwaukee has quite a few AEG tools in their line up that are rebadged/recoloured etc. The warranty is more than you will ever need as a homeowner, provided you register. 15. Marketing wank is marketing wank. Calling something 20v when it is 18v like everyone else = marketing wank. Triple hammer, octo hammer or deca hammer, it doesn't matter. It produces torque. Don't be fooled by marketing gimmicks or made up terms, otherwise you will wind up with Bluetooth hacksaws and 18v chalk lines. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  21. The Patent system is a joke in the US. Apple sued Samsung over a "gesture", moving ones finger across a piece of glass. How ridiculous is that? All you need is a generic description of an idea and you can sue anyone. Never mind that someone figures out a better way, if the end result is the same, you sue. Competition breeds innovation, that's why the US hasn't been an innovator for years. The patent system needs an overhaul. http://fortune.com/2015/08/10/patent-system-economist/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  24. Terrible review. Now I have to go buy one. I prefer reviews that don't involve me spending money! What a little beast! Thanks for the great review guys! Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
