I really like my Ego blower, it's waaay more powerful than I ever imagined and it's really quiet. You could have a conversation while using it, I could hear my neighbor's music playing clearly while I was using it last...bet you could set up a Bosch radio and still hear it while using the blower. With Turbo mode the battery does discharge pretty quickly but it doesn't get hot and you don't need to always use that button, like you'd probably imagine. Battery and charger are REALLY nice quality.
The downside, the knob does feel cheaply made.

I saw a new member with it also, which I found odd. I updated my location just now, still can't see the "First name" section. Can provide a screenshot if it would help.

Just bought a max fit t25 Torx and #2 Philips in 6" length for my kreg jig.

They're really good value, the 6" Maxfit is as much as the 3.5" Makita gold. The Makita gold is two sided but it only works if you wear out the tip, if you break the bit it's not reusable.

The phillips drive itself doesn't cause problems nearly as much as the implementation. A lot of screws either try to get by with a smaller phillips size than they should, or don't make the drive head deep enough.
Have you broken any of the bits yet BMack? I broke a maxfit bit in a drywall screw last week (first time I've seen anything fail before a drywall screw). Pissed me off so much I had to take a walk back to get my own impact and bits before I hammered the screw the rest of the way with the guy's impact. I know they're not impact rated but my drill can snap the head of a drywall screw.
I have not but I haven't been able to do any projects that were really stressful, nothing with the Impact driver. I've been dealing with some lingering injuries so none of those projects are getting done. At work I use the bits everyday so I can see the wear on just driving with a light clutch setting mostly...you can see wear from general usage in this way but no strength testing, that comes with the homeowner stuff for me. I was also planning on doing some testing by just driving a bunch of screws into a piece of wood but the injuries are killing me.
The Maxfits are impact rated

We only have the sears home store now. No more full size sears. Don't carry anything other than craftsman and gearwrench

Probably going to be like that in the next couple of years across the nation. Kinda sad because it's the only store I know of that has a little bit of Knipex, some Ullman items and one set of Wiha screwdrivers...not much else that I want. They do have some Wera stuff online. I've bought quite a bit of stuff from Sears the past few months but all of it has been at like 75% off because points stack on sale items. My last order was the Kraftform Kompact 25 screwdriver for $10 out of pocket, list price is $30. Previous order was $100 worth of Knipex for $16. A month ago I also bought the 20 piece Gearwrench (Made in Taiwan) combination wrench set for $5, though they later gave me $5 of points for that order.

I definitely recommend staying away from the Shockwaves, at HD I'd tell you to buy the Dewalt Maxfit if you're buying the bulk 1" bits and if you're buying for longevity, buy Makita(just my opinion).
I ordered a couple more bit brands, Toptul(Taiwan) and Vermont America Deckster(USA), both have anti-cam out ribs. Vermont America also offers an "Ice bit" which is claimed to be "Super toughened" that I may add, depending on the quality of the Deckster bits. I was under the impression that Vermont America moved all their production overseas when they were acquired by Bosch and heard the quality went downhill so I had avoided buying them earlier.

They seem like they're really nice. A couple of the Sears locally carry a single set of these, if you're interested in checking them out check stock on Sears site...sometimes it's right. They're by the wire strippers not the screwdrivers, $40 for the 6-piece set isn't a bad price either.

Glad some already beat me to it...wonderful spacing and attention to detail, looks great!

The more I think about it. It seems like that bondo was a little flexible. Not much though. It was about just lik wood would be. That would be the best way to describe it.

Awesome, hopefully it will hold up! It sure looks really good!

How well do you think that will hold up? Is that bondo flexible at all?

Your going to need a Milwaukee box for all your screw drivers and driver bits.

Or you will want more Wera stuff!
Coincidentally, I bought the Kraftform Kompakt 25 screwdriver a few days ago. Should be here next week!

Good choice Nicholas, think you will really like those. I do recommend having one set of screwdrivers with a hex bolster if you work regularly on machine screws, you're bound to find one over torqued or rusted in place and you need the breaking torque...Impact drivers don't always work in those applications. If you're not working with a lot of machine screws, you'll probably never need it.
One thing I find weird about Wera is how they pronounce it in English. It should be pronounced "Vera" but they(Wera's official youtube channel) pronounce it like it like an English word. While Wiha is pronounced "Veehah." Knipex officially uses the German pronunciation also, which is "Kahni-pex."

Here's a comparison pic, not shown is my PB Swiss all are PH2:
The PB Swiss is very small, it's the same width of the Felo PH1.
Nicholas, that is the Wera set I have, it's great but do note that the smallest slotted screwdriver does not have the laser tip. You may want to consider buying an additional screwdriver to fill the extra hole, I've been thinking of adding a PH3 with hex bolster. The 7 piece set adds a slotted driver.

Days like that are the worst, hope tomorrow is a better day...if not there are plenty of other days in the new year to make up for it.

Typical home owner gimmick tools that make light user's life a little easier that most of us would destroy and throw in the trash. It would probably do well for hanging pictures and stuff like that.

My PB Swiss bits FINALLY came in:

. I was just looking at the yellow ones what do u guy think of those?
Just as good but with striking cap. Notice the smallest size slotted does not have a striking cap. The 932 S/6 set has a 1/4" indent in the top for turning with a ratchet, though it does not list this feature on their website.
Those do not have the laser tips which is one of the best features of the screwdriver, in my opinion.

Push the PH2 firmly in the screw head and hold just the screw and let the screwdriver dangle...There are others I can do this to but none that hold as well as Wera. If you initially push it hard enough you can actually swing it side to side dangling from the screw! I like the Felo's handle more but the Wera tips have me reaching for them more often than I was initially imagining.
Wera's precision screwdrivers are my favorite, followed by Felo and then Wiha. The shape is designed perfectly for pushing on the top with your palm and twisting with your fingers, very comfortable to use. Felos have a gripper design that allows the same motion comfortably but not as natural as the Weras. Wiha's are nice but they're not really grippy and you want that in a small screwdriver also the top is a little loose and wobbly(Haven't tried the picofinish series which looks like it may be better).
Thanks for the review, there really aren't many good reviews out there on screwdrivers...everyone just says "*such and such* is the best", no real reasoning behind why they like them or not. Which actually led me to go on a small screwdriver buying frenzy so I could pick my favorite, haha. You picked well man, the more I use mine the more I like them. Right now I can't decide which is my favorite between the Weras, Felos or PB Swiss.
Did the smallest slotted screwdriver have the lasertip? On the other set(the one I have) it does not but it appears they sell the smallest with the lasertip by itself...unless all the distributors haven't realized and just left that feature in the description from the other sizes.

Happy new years guys, hope everyone has a fun and safe time tonight!

I'm a research buff, so digging around to read reviews or to do comparisons and research is fun for me. I like to think I've 1-up'd the sheep who've bought something inferior with a lack of educated choice.
The internet is awesome.
I'm the same way, when I look to buy something I will damn near become an expert. I also retain information like Oprah retains bonbons.

Bought the Kobalt bit. It's not impact rated but this is a really nice bit, my initial impression of it in-store was pretty high...looked to be machined well, it is. Best fitment of any Chinese bit I've tried, closest comparison is the Dewalt Maxfit bits. No comment to durability yet but the metal sure seems more dense than the other Chinese bits. We'll see...

I don't know about the Vessel Impacta striking cap screwdrivers. My first thought is a gimmick tool like many of the Craftsman gimmick tools I bought over the years. I have (somewhere) a impact tool that works by hitting with a hammer. It is quite a bit beefier than those screwdrivers and it only loosened screws or bolts only about 15% of the time. The spring in the screwdriver may cause you to loose any feel of how tight you have tightened a screw. The reviews on Amazon are good though.
Vessel makes fantastic products, it's not the junk Craftsman "makes."
