    Home Depot

Here's the biggest Home Depot deal, very your milage may vary penny deals. Here's a read-up of how it works: http://www.pennypup.com/home-depot/ If you find something please share! If you find something and plan on buying a lot, do NOT buy more than 5 at a time. Buy 5, checkout then walk back into the store. Self-checkout attendant will be notified if you buy 6+ of the same item. I've never personally found a penny item so I'm not the best person to ask about it as everything I know is through research. Scan the box barcode, not the stickers! On to the current sales(in-store only, limited availability, some stores make not have marked items down): Ce Tech 2-pack of HDMI cables = $0.01 Empire 48" laser level 0000-909-492 = $0.01 marked down from $$120 marked down from $160 Husky 26" top, bottom 1000-026-200 - $0.01 Moen Lindley CA870088SRS - $0.01 Chamberlain HD750WF 3/4 HP garage door opener 012381173303 - $0.01 Chamberlain HD930EV 1.5HP garage door opener 1000005903 - $0.01 Dewalt, Milwaukee select bits 50% Milwaukee multimeter 2216-20 - $33 Milwaukee clamp multimeter model = ? - $33 Ridgid 6-gallon pancake compressor - $79 marked down from $170 Ce Tech USB power bank = $9.98 down from $40 Echo CS-330T chainsaw for $65 Husky 41" 16-drawer 1000-044-440 - $132 11% discount via giftcard rebate, good through this Saturday 10/10/15: https://www.homedepotrebates.com/11percentmatch/ I'm sure I missed out of some, I don't have any pictures as other people have taken the pictures and I will not repost their pics out of respect to them. Hope you guys find some of this stuff! *Edit: See this spreadsheet for up-to-date deals sorted by category: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Hz4wdipu4cu6XWVqcK8nGa_xyx7a-oHmNiuMZ__YRog/edit?usp=sharing
  2. Lowe's has the WORST customer service of all time. I will ONLY ever buy items at Lowe's if it's on sale. If Home Depot had a greeter that punched me in the face every time I entered the store, I'd still prefer to shop at Home Depot. BTW, I'm happy to see this thread start to gain some traction. Is there interest in permathreads for Sears, Amazon(Warehouse) and HD? I really like this community and I think deal threads are the way to help it grow and obviously help our current members. I don't mind doing some leg work and research to do my part. There are some deals that I haven't posted simply because I didn't think it was thread-worthy and don't want to be one of those guys that starts a million different threads.
  3. How much do you have to spend? Your budget will dictate what you should get. In my opinion, your most valuable investment will be your multimeter, get a Fluke...don't even consider another brand. Klein for hand tools is pretty much what you're expected to use as an electrician and it's for pretty good reason. If you need to save a few bucks, there's nothing wrong with certain Harbor Freight items...such as your tool bag, screwdrivers, micro flush cutter. Things to avoid(again, just my opinion) wire strippers, crescent wrenches, linesman pliers, anything that cuts(other than the micro flush cutter). Pliers are hit or miss. Keep in mind that these can be temporary tools until you can reinvest, then these become backups.
  4. I'm glad I wasn't the only one amused by this!
  5. That is just an insane deal, even at $200 it's a pretty good price. I don't need a blower but I'm still seriously considering making the rounds at various Lowe's to find one...they don't even have the blower on their site.
  6. Finally a use for the new Craftsman ratchets!
  7. That Bosch looks like it's about to get drilled
  8. Might have to head up there tomorrow to pick up some Dewalt bits. You can always find Milwaukee bits half off after you use them a few times
  9. Why didn't you post your referral link? Wouldn't that be better than a simple "Thank you"?
  10. I found this at Lowe's today, quality control at it's finest haha

    Flashlight

How big is the chassis for the AAA batteries? It may be able to fit the 14500 battery.
  12. I figured we could use a thread for Lowe's clearance items, now with these sales your milage may vary due to Lowe's pricing being a per-store system. This thread is meant for closeout items and not advertised sales(though those can also be posted but probably deserve their own tread). You can post pics that show the price and item number or you may describe the item and price. Please post your city, if not your store number(or street name) so we know where these deals are located. All items located in Tampa, FL (Waters location): This is a B&D gyro screwdriver I saw but didn't think about taking a pic of the 1/4" and 3/8" SAE and Metric 11-piece socket sets(no ratchet) for under $10 Also, $1.50-$3 individual Kobalt crowsfeet and xtreme access sockets back on sale. http://www.lowes.com/Search=kobalt+xtreme+access?storeId=10151&langId=-1&catalogId=10051&N=0&newSearch=true&Ntt=kobalt+xtreme+access#
  13. That's a good idea, maybe even write a little note hidden where he might never see until he's old and grey...a "You are a good kid, keep up the hard work" kind of note may bring a man to tears. I kind of stop and get a little choked up when i find something with my Dad's handwriting on it, let alone a note.
  14. You guys aren't making it easy to not buy this tool. I don't need it at all, my Milwaukee drill is more than enough for me. Enablers!
  15. You could always grind off all the teeth and sharpen it as a flat blade. You could also grind the teeth, debur the end and probably use it as a metal pry tool if you ever have to take apart any electronics.

    Flashlight

I don't have any Snap-On licensed flashlights but I'm all for the cheaper LED flashlights from China. On Amazon you can get the 400 lumen flashlight for less than $7, they're bright as hell. They've lasted for me, I've had all three for over two years...but if it does break or I lose it, no big deal. Also these have a magnifying lense on the front, not polycarbinate. The only issue with these is the belt clip and screws that hold on the belt clip, they strip and/or back out. I dropped a little gorilla glue in the holes and screwed the screw in and the problem was solved. I'll look for this Snap-on flashlight because one can always use a new flashlight.
  17. Geez that is really nice, you can see they really go the extra step in manufacturing. It will almost be a shame to start beating up on that guy
  18. If the red and yellow can get along, so can all of us...But wait, if they have babies it would be orange right? So B&D? Of course the kids these days aren't quite as good as the previous generations.
  19. That's really great of you to help him out. I'm not sure if either of you realize how much impact you will have on this kid but I'm sure it means the world to him and he will always remember this fondly.

I watched that last night. Nice idea but not something I'd buy. Also it's a 5-6 month delivery time according to Amazon. The batteries look like 2 18650s that they enclosed together, I would guess that you could probably use 2 18650s...we'd have to check the size/voltage on the battery first(obviously).
  21. I haven't used them but i did notice at my Lowe's some of the tools were on sale. the Kobalt reciprocating saw was one of them, I can't recall the other. I believe they've had their batteries on sale recently.
  22. Thanks, I didn't realize. I edited the title to reflect this
  23. That's awesome, I love those old school, family owned places. There's one here in Tampa, quite well known and delicious...was sad and a little disgusted when it got shut down for a few days because of health code violations. Won't stop me from going when I get the itch, something about their ice cream, probably the hint of bug. As good as my place is, it looks like yours craps all over them. That looks sooo good.
  24. That deal has been up since last week, which means buy sooner rather than later. Probably only a few days left in the sale.
  25. Use Coupon Code: "MILRECON" During Checkout, ends 10/5. I have recieved two Milwaukee reconditioned tools from CPO and a co-worker has received a reconditioned PC drill from CPO. Not a SINGLE mark on any of them, all the paint on my Milwaukee chuck was still there(You guys should know that doesn't last long). Every tool looked brand new. The batteries were also new, you can tell on M18 batteries because the button will deform after you press it the first or second time. I can easily recommend CPO recon tools. http://www.cpooutlets.com/mil-recon-sale-2015/mil-recon-sale-2015,default,sc.html?start=0&sz=100
