  1. No, I picked this up from CPO on their 30% off clearance stacked with the 11% off vetsday coupon this last weekend. Manufacture date of 2014. Been on someones shelf for awhile.
  2. UPS dropped this off a short while ago. One six inch grinder for the collection...
  3. I am really glad I was able to use that 20% off price match on the flex miter saw (still blame you for that btw ), I would have been a bit upset with the bf price drop on it otherwise (although with mil discount it would have been slightly cheaper to wait). Also, slightly disappointed that they are not offering a reduction on the table saw.

    Wowsers..

http://www.si.com/extra-mustard/photo/2016/11/14/ashley-resch-lovely-lady-day I feel like the looneytoons wolf, whistling away at the lady on the stage...
  5. I think that there is a majority out there that simply do not work to a critical accuracy that some woodworkers desire, and would not notice the inconsistencies of some products. Many times even those that do want the accuracy won't notice a problem with the tool they chose until after many hours or days of use. But even when you have the best cabinet saw money can buy, other factors will affect your accuracy, such as the particular blade you choose verse the materials being cut, or the feed rate that you apply to the material that can cause the blade to flex in the cut. Long ago I decided to adjust my methods to achieve whatever level of accuracy that I needed when ripping lumber to a finished dimension. One was to add a stock feeder to the saw that would give a uniform adjustable feed pressure on the material to minimize blade flex, and the other was to cut the material slightly oversize and then use a Ryobi ten inch finish planer to achieve both an accurate finish dimension along with a near perfect parallel edge. At times, simply adjusting your methods after determining a problem can keep a marginal tool from being a problem in your process'. If nothing else helps to narrow your decision of what to purchase, find some of the local small cabinet shops in your area and pay them a visit. Some might not be friendly, but I believe that most would be happy to talk about tools and their experiences working with wood.
  6. Todays haul arrived earlier than expected... UPS normally doesn't arrive till long after dark. More of the 30% off sale from CPO. Been looking for a good all metric tape, and these were dirt cheap to boot.
  7. While not a deal per se, Tools Plus is showing stock on the 2771-20 at $179. http://www.tools-plus.com/milwaukee-2771-20.html They are the first that I have found that actually show stock. Several other companies are showing late Nov. for stock date, and are still selling at that price point as a pre-order status.
  8. Yes, congratulations!
  9. Clutch issues aside, what bothers me about this picture is that the man is using a heavy, high torque tool, overhead, while balancing on what looks to be an eight foot tall step ladder. We kept an aluminum rolling scaffold around for this type of work. You could at least spread your feet apart and improve your chances on one of those.
  10. Ten years ago, Relton was my go to for carbide tipped hole saws. Nothing else could beat them for speed and longevity in punching grommet holes through countertops of most material types at that time. They are still active in production today with a wide variety of designs for various material type cuts. They never were an inexpensive choice, but I still have the ones I purchased originally and will be able to have them resharpened if ever needed. http://relton.com/hole-saws/

    Mind playing tricks

You know some porn company is going to use a title close to that one soon enough. Probably with a different word other than "Find" in the title. Their sub title will probably be something like; "MASSIVE MAMMARIES LOOSE ON THE STREETS. Will our intrepid hero recover them in time?" Pokemon Go theme and all that, ya know...
  12. Whatever is left in the toolbox after the last one I used grows legs and wanders off...
  13. Cruising through the entertainment section of Google news this morning and I spotted a title that for half a second my mind registered as; Fantastic Breasts and Where to Find Them Heh, must be wishful thinking...
  14. I just picked up my first Metabo cordless tool this week (scroll up), and while the battery is a solid mount, the fit and finish of the tool body is not what I generally expect from German manufacture. I was planning on starting a thread about it some time in the near future as there are a number of issues that jump out at me with the tool, but I am still gathering my thoughts on it.
  15. From AMCE's 15% off sale this week. I have an old corded Milwaukee polisher that is a bit over ten years old, and I wanted to see how this one would compare. It looks like I will need to invest in some new polishing pads that will work with this one before I can answer that question. In the TIA video about this unit, Pat mentions how the placement of the speed control is a bit of an issue and could have been placed further up on the body of the tool, and I 100% agree. Outside of that, the fit and finish of the polisher gets top marks, with the possible exception of the battery mount. So far, the four M18 fuel tools I have purchased this year all have sloppy battery mounts, and in this day of CNC production and computer design, I wonder at the reason behind Milwaukee's decision to leave so much clearance between the battery and tool.

    Dewalt push mower

Not cheap at all; On clearance at CPO $2970 - $200 on the current sale until the 16th. Plus another 11% off for the next day or so. http://www.cpooutlets.com/dewalt-dcw100k-portable-stick-and-tig-welder-kit/dewndcw100k,default,pd.html Shows a list price of $4500... Meh. Not sure how accurate list prices are these days, but that's a lot of jack for a small welder. Stick welder at that. TIG option on this is pretty much useless as Dewalt has zero information on accessories and availability, and the manual is of little use as well.
  17. heh, just remembered my old backup email addy, one more on the way.
  18. That old Miller buzz box in the first picture sure brings back some memories, and the last picture looks like a cross between an old rocket engine and a potters wheel. Oh wait, Delta 2...
  19. Tools Plus was just as quick also...
  20. Holy Cow that was fast. Just ordered this from CPO two days ago... Free ground shipping to boot.
  21. I honestly have no clue about holidays, but Saturday is a normal mail day around here.
  22. I was just looking at the testo 316-1 leak detector, but the price is a bit more than I wanted to spend on one...
  23. LOL, please try again in less than a minute....
  24. Federal holiday and the post office is out delivering Amazon orders. When I got the email stating that my order would arrive today, I did not believe that it would...
