  1. I looked up the sales on that tool, my store alone has sold 400units this year. anywhere from 69-129$ a piece, what the living hell? Name sells lol.
  2. I still need to get batteries for mine, i paid 35$ for it at my HD... Im still terrified of the stacks upon stacks of rigid batteries I had to swap out for the LSA years ago... Is it really worth it thought to cut the cord on a ROS?
  3. Tbh the only thing i liked about cleaning the cutting room was i could take all the ribeye caps home
  4. Well according to metabo's website Max. cutting speed 75 ft/s Not sure how that works, but thats perdy fast. lol. I would either wait for them to release a brushless version or buy into a new line, the saw has been out since 2010.
  5. also a screw driver for some new computer hardware.
  6. I hated cleaning the cutting room every night. I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE IT
  7. I dunno about you guys but there are a lot of stupid people out there that don't know how to use a drill. I've had people come to tool rental to ask me why their drill wasn't working but the light would turn on. (F/W switch was in the middle). I've had older gentlemen bring back drills with ratcheting chucks because it didn't have a key. I've had to show people how to change and charge batteries. I see where RTR is coming from and I know hes targeting the DIY/Weekend warrior scene as there are many, many more people watching improvement shows. and as for people that watch 20 minutes of some guy drilling holes in 2by's I know lots of people that watch golf and stupid cat videos on YT theres tons of people with time to waste. as for AVE, yeah i miss when he would actually take a tool apart and show you the innards could really give a shit less if he thinks the tool is dogshit, but i like to know whats inside the things I buy or may buy, really wish he would trash the random dumb crap that he puts on his channel and stick to eviscerating tools. And lets be honest, 80% of the people that watch his channel now have no idea what a mosfet is or planetary gears.
  8. Thats exactly what I should have done lol.
  9. yeesh, ive never paid more than 50 bucks for a blade, ive always used industrial hitachi blades ( not the ones you get stock in lowe's or menards) from amazon or special order from lowes.
  10. the numbers are really confusing and i couldn't find the 49-22-2731 anywhere on their website when I looked, too late now though already have the other which works fine.
  11. sorry to interject but a few people i know have the brushless model and they slow down on load. They also cut out if you really push into it, as for the runtime i dunno, they never have to change batteries. also they dont come with the quick nut and for 25$ @ amazon they can keep it, also since when do you use a nut for a cup? I've never used one, always just tightened it up and its never come off, unless im doing it wrong....
  12. no idea actually, could be my drill has a bad motion sensor, as it took me ages to find the LTX BL I drill I'm not about to return it esp if the seller doesn't have anymore stock. If you can find me this drill anywhere let me know, company I do weekends for wants to know they'll buy the whole stock.
  13. I used to have a dv18dbl hitachi drill, i loved that thing until someone stole it from my car, it wasnt the super best but hell it did the job, the light on that thing was perfect, no chuck shadow at all, its a shame hitachi put the light back under the chuck on their newer drills.
  14. Called in, they told me to go to to a service center or send them in. Sent them in the first time if i remember right and went to service center after they told me no the first time to get a second opinion. I gave up with their drills, may as well keep the circ saw and sawzall and sell off my one keys that I bought new for myself :<
  15. Which drills? I actually like the circular LED on the Gen5x, not enough to sink into that line though. TBH my dv18dsdl has a pretty bright light and its wide too but dewalt's LED on their drills have got it spot on.
  16. To be completely fair, these were only the drills. I've never ever had a problem with their sawzall circ saw or hole hawgs. I've only ever had problems with their drills.
  17. What LED feature? If you're talking about the drill I posted they abandoned the motion sensor LED lights, I have the impuls version and while it was nice, it would turn on from a bump.
  18. I've had the w18ltx for a few years but them CPO has them for 139.99 so i bought 3 <3 me some free batteries I think I do enough work to use up 2 batteries but i really hate having to change out discs when im doing something.
  19. Yeah I gave up on milwaukee when they wouldn't warranty 3 co-workers fuel drills because they were "Over worked" Mind they've only really used the damn things medium duty at residential job sites, they have hole hawgs for heavy duty stuff. Thus far, I've had suberb warranty from dewalt, they've sent replacements for batteries and told me to just recycle the old ones.(I think this is new, they used to make me send in old batteries.) I've turned over to yellow and green. I know lots of people love milwaukee tools I'm just tired of them telling me/us that the reason they're not warrantying the tools is that its normal wear and tear or they're over worked after 6 months of normal use.
  20. i used to use freud/diablo but the ones I linked are the only ones that have a super clean cut on big box ply wood, everyone i know swears by freud but i just use the same hitachi blade I've had for years.
  21. https://www.amazon.com/Hitachi-726101-90-Teeth-Tungsten-Carbide/dp/B0006HKB42/ref=sr_1_6?s=power-hand-tools&ie=UTF8&qid=1470099472&sr=1-6&keywords=hitachi I use those, but i mostly work with shitty plywood.
  22. Its quite heavy its about the same weight of my milwuakee one key hammer drill. I clip the f/r switch sometimes if i dont pay attention but that happens on every tool i have 3xcept my hitachi. The drill feels like any other drill but my hitachi is number 1 in hand comfort. If i had to rate this thing 1 to 10 with my hitachi being 10 and the old 2604 fuel being 1 it would be a 7.
  23. yeah my wallet has taken a bit of a hit lately, switching back from milwaukee to dewalt/metabo.
  24. I've never tripped the overload protection on my w18 ltx (brushed) I've never stalled it stripping paint off of hoods, cutting rebar or cutting things off at the junkyard but I've never tried either. Or are you talking about the Bind protection, None of the cordless grinders have that protection, the discs will break apart if you bind it up. The newer model W7-W8 grinders have the bind up protection, but i really don't suggest "Trying" to abuse any grinder =/, metabo's are really torquey
