    How much is 18?

I'm not sure what that is then I've seen pictures on google about that battery but I only count 10 batteries 2 on each side 6 in the middle I'm not exactly sure where you're getting the extra 2 from because 12 batteries would be 24V full charge and 21.6v nominal

the flexvolt has 3 rows of 5 18v nominal usually is 2 rows of 5 dewalt use 10 18650 series to get 18v
  6. tbh if they wanted to make illuminate the whole thing they'd just make the chuck clear plastic and put the leds at the base of the chuck, but they'd run into people whining about a plastic chuck lol
  7. Same could be said about a car, computer, tv or 90% of any consumer product really.
  8. yeah but i think dewalt could have done more with flexvolt, to me its just a recip saw, tbh most recip saws vibrate like hell, if it was losing connection due to to flopping around thats a very very big miss for dewalt. It might just be a faulty tool but im a but yeah im at a loss for words.
  9. I heard a bunch commotion the other day from a few friends that have the new flexvolt recip saw that it stalls during wierd shit like cutting through wood with large nails or straight sheet metal then I saw this.
  10. WHen i lived in oklahoma I took real good care of my axes and my chainsaw, dusted the air filters cleaned out the compartment and took it apart, good ole stihl chainsaw's dont need much care but mines been around for a good long time.
  11. yeah i dont wear my contacts when working with any sort of chemical esp acetone, thinner or epoxy removers.
  12. I wear safety glasses in the kitchen when im frying and wearing contacts, a drop of super hot oil on your cornea and you're on your way to the ER because you wont be able to see out of that eye.
  13. I'm pretty careful with my tools, though i have older ones that i still use that still work very well, they're beat to shit i keep buying new tools to make sure i have working stuff when those die but they just wont die. But when im at work and I use company tools i beat the hell out of those. But tools are meant to be used and abused not babied. A good tool is one thats beat to hell and still works 100% regardless of condition
  14. It isnt like they abandoned 20v altogether, they release new tools dedicated to the XR line IE brushless planer the new drill and driver. They're not going to make an flexvolt multi tool or a flexvoltl um, hell im not sure what else you can make really that you could use on the jobsite that doesnt need a cord. 120v breaker maybe? Rotary hammer? Concrete saw, I mean what else really could they make that wont die in a few minutes and will equal the power of a corded/gas powered tool.
  15. be real careful not to jumble the pads and the wires, they're not like the jackets they can come loose
  16. cutt i have no use for a bandsaw nor have I ever used one other than for meat cutting :<
  17. lottery of tools or lottery of shit, its a toss up \o/
  18. http://p1.hostingprod.com/@tools-plus.com/rebates/MET/metabo-mail-in-rebate-coupon-q3-16.pdf so, today comes my metabo brushless drill from rebate! I should have picked the band saw (no use for one really), but i wanted the lighter more compact drill :< i love me drills, i dunno why. Good luck finding the 2 listed drills though, it was a bitch trying to find a seller myself. Hopefully they'll show up somewhere sometime soon!
  19. Well i just bought a m12 kit from ebay shipping from china for 38$ heres to hoping its the real deal. but yeah on a side note, lowe's has a bottle ratchet thats really nice for 5 bucks i can't find the link to it though.
  20. Got my m12 heated jacket today, the damn thing lasts ages on high with a 4.0 battery. Gonna be comfortable for my trip up north in dec!
  21. Here are the spec sheets for the samsung 25r that are in the milwaukee 5.0's https://www.powerstream.com/p/INR18650-25R-datasheet.pdf This is the upgraded version of the INR25r2 The upgraded version is a better performing battery than the old blue version. But the life cycle of the cells are at most identical. but these cycles mean that they have to be completely discharged down from 4.2v to ~3.6 and lower. so if theres a company stating that their batteries can be recharged more than 5000 times is completely bogus as the cells can only handle a number of discharge-recharge cycles. now if they're saying "They can be recharged 5000+" times well then technically taking the battery off the charger pulling the trigger for 4 seconds then placing it on the charger is recharging the battery then yes they can state that. But know what I know about Li-Ion they do not last 5000+ full cycles esp if they're depleted consistently past 3.6v
  22. How can they say 5k charges when the cells are rated for 250 to 500 on the spec sheet Also i cant remember the point i was trying to make
