  2. heh when I used to work at home depot as a repair tech there were stacks upon stacks of returned ridgid batteries, turned me off to those batteries too. The 4.0 and so on batteries seem like they're made well though
  3. Yeah yall better get goin if you want these theyre cheaper than any combo box ive ever seen at lowes and theyre decent quality
  4. You could go to home depot and lowes and ask for lumber runners (they're the pieces of wood that they use with banding so tines can get under bunks of building material) Not sure how safe that stuff is but it's usually treated pine or the same lumber that it was used to band with.
  5. whatever you do, don't put the code in until you're absolutely sure you're going to check out, it will lock your code out even if you don't complete your order.
  6. Really wish it had a dial sometimes instead of a lock at high speed
  7. Just FYI if you have Huge hands, its a massive bitch to get the casters on. The bottom half is a bit flimsy, Seriously doubtful each tray can hold 50 lbs but for 60 or so bucks its a great to move all my shit sitting in totes to this thing! The Top Chest is actually really well made, well mine was at least, They look just like the Red PROLINE chests at lowes but a bit cheaper but not quite HF cheap. This set goes for around $500+ at acme tool
  8. heh yeah picked em up, had to add something else for the 49$ one on top of the discount I get its like 60$ for the pair
  9. what do you mean out of the boxes? as in Display?
  10. it works, just have to keep trying
  11. I can't find any of the 15 off 50 codes work anymore where do you get them/.
  12. Whats the difference between 735 and 735 X?
  13. Heh, My fiance watched me with bated breath and a massive grin on her face as I put the blender head in my m18 fuel to whip some egg whites for a cake... The whole time I was tightening the chuck I was wondering why she was so interested all of a sudden when I use my tools. She laughed for a good 10 minutes when I pulled the trigger and 6 eggwhites ended up all over me and everything within 10 feet.
  14. You should work as a repair Tech at home depot, the pay is actually pretty good compared to retail, you get to "Try" and fix hand tools but really you follow the script. Sometimes you can get free tools if the customer doesn't want to pay for a new motor (most brushed milwaukee/ridgid/ryobi tools don't have user replaceable brushes). I got 19$ an hour + benefits when I worked there a few years ago. I'm not sure about your work experience though, if you're fresh they're not gonna give you 19$ :<. I wouldn't suggest it as a career option though I know some people that do pretty well for themselves as its a very numbers oriented career path.
  15. How are you liking that lamp? I Had the new milwaukee flood and I returned that one not because the metabo was free but I really liked the Cool white of the metabo vs the "TrueView" of the milwaukee.
  16. Yeah they'll Honor ANY 5.2+ ah kit bought if it has a 5.2ah battery they'll honor it. Though I had to dig to find some of the rebates.
  17. Yeah thats regular price 2.0 packs are 20 and those get super fricken hot
  18. Yeah but damn 10 bucks? You cant even get knockoff cells for cheaper than a dollar lol retail
  19. you need a step converter to properly use that charger. just google step up/down converter and you should be able to find one, you cannot Just use an adapter on that you need a transformer to convert euro to US voltage
  20. Yeah I'm bought up as much of the german made tools as i can that would last me until well hopefully until forever (I bought 3 and I have 6 pairs of brushes). Then i bought the makita kit from tool barn. so i dont think i'll ever need new grinders, flexvolt one looks nice though.
  21. wth the 2.0 battery packs dont even last 3 hours... hell even the 4.0's don't last that long... those batteries must be running down way below 3.6v I think the battery packs in power tools limit to 3.4- 3.6 v before they cut off to prevent damage. Use your multimeter to check the voltage on that power pack when its fully discharged if its like 2.8 or even 3.0 there isnt a cutoff on the pack and the batteries will get damaged. If you leave those batteries discharged too long (A week plus) they could vent when you try to charge them again if there isnt protection.
  22. are those grinders still made in germany? or have they outsourced to taiwan and china?
  23. The tool and the shirt im way too poor for the hardware lol
  24. if that brushless grinder is anything like the brushed one, eh nope.
