  1. They're pretty fucking hard to get off of everything but the drill/impact/sawzall. People return that shit all the time because they can't take it off of the circular saw or angle grinder.
  2. Flip a coin, but makita is more powerful and likely has more run time.
  3. I use them daily and I used some last year for work and I've only gone through maybe 2 or 3 and I use it daily cutting cardboard, zipties, banding, drywall.

Can you post a picture of the drill? If you can't, was the drill dirty, dinged up and such? Depending on how loud the sound is, it could be dirt and grime stuck in your chuck or jaws or the hammer setting is permanently engaged (You can also check if hammer is engaged by turning the drill on and pushing the chuck in while it turns, also if the chuck depresses about 2-5mm then hammer is engaged.). If it turns out that hammer is permanently engaged, just take a rubber mallet and hit the tip of the drill when the jaws are still inside the chuck until it stops making the noise. If that isnt the case, then you should send it in for service or track the guy down because he sold you a broken tool

dude, milwaukee will have the deflator, sucks the air and money out of everything. Nah miwaukee will probably combo it and put a two in one Quiet compressor and inflator, probably back carry with a rafter hook as well.
  6. so, you need to find another one of those code thingies for lowes
  7. they were okay, it was about 2-3mm or so so it was way under the coat.
  8. I have, it gets gunked up if you're taking off multiple layers off. I've used a corded hand planer to take paint off... was more efficient than the stripper.

If He said they weren't working etc, they would have had to RTV (Return to vendor( For Credit)). But to chime in a few months old thread, I recently Denied a Customer an RTM ( Lowe's version of RTV ) on a DCD996 combo kit (Hammer, Impact) Caked in drywall/mud with him screaming at me saying "THE DAMN THING LASTED A WEEK THIS IS BULLSHIT, DEWALT IS SHIT" etc etc. Told him if he had bothered to even clean the kit up there would have been no question we'd have just taken it.

  22. You should return it and ask for a manager for compensation for having to drive back, if you talk to the store manager and make a big deal about it they'll likely give you 50$ off
  23. yeah, they really are good tools, I've used the paddle switch version of the old grinder, I would rather have that version compared to the german made one. I only have locking grinders atm Would really love to have a non locking though. Wonder if someone would trade grinders...
