  1. That is awesome imwanting to get the festool tape measure but idk as it is pricey a tape is a tape but would love a digital one or laser one for aligning front ends the best I can I change a lot of tie rods and you can get it close if you measure it even Casper and camber can be don't close I you measure it and use a level.
  2. Thanks yeah soon as I seen it all I snatched it up also bought a 100ish piece Bluepoint 3/8 ,1/4 ,wrench sae and metric set for $100 when I was there the set retailed for $514 from snap on. I love the wright 3/4 set the sockets are like new I just don't know what I'm going to do with the stuff I already got the 24" 1/2 soft grip snap on and breaker bar and they serve my needs for heavier work like suspension work. 3/4 is just way to big for auto repair about the only 3/4 socket I could use is the 32mm for axle nuts.. The snap on 3/4 ratchet I bought just to have to go with my other snap on ratchets and I have a 3/4 to 1/2 reducer but doubt I'll even use it. I offered the wright set to my mother in law as she has a farm but she already has the HF set and is a woman and don't know about wright I would sell them but shipping would be to high plus I really like wright and have other wright tools would love to get one of the new contoured handle ratchets but I already have a ton of truck brand ratchets. I might get one of the matco rebranded versions to try. Even without using the wright set I would still recommend it to anyone as it is super heav, strong and just built well over all.
  3. I'll take a picture of my ratchets in my box later they are spread out in 3 drawers 1 for all my 3/8 and extensions and some 1/4 and 1 drawer for all 1/4 which I use the most and 1 for my big 1/2 longer ratchets and breaker bars ,I also have a drawer with 3/4 ratchets and sockets and other tools like my Mac and matco air tools. I prefer to use cordless as much as I can and my power tools are snap on,matco, hilti and Makita. I love the 7.even snap on stuff specially the 1/4 impact but also use my hilti or makita impacts with 1/4 and 3/8 and my matco 1/2 with 1/2 and some 3/8. My wife says I got to much tools and I don't think so I think my box is to small. I have mostly truck brand tools and wright but some kobalt Williams and williams. I'll do a tool tour soon
  4. I love ratchets I have a bunch of them I have mostly snap on but also have mac, cornwell, matco,sk,gearwrench, bluepoint,Williams kobalt,Williams,Carlyle and others. I'd say my favorites are a between the snap on, mac, matco or Carlyle as I like the fine tooth action I got many styles and prefer ratchets with grips as I'm fairly new to them but still like my plain handled ratchets. I have some lower tooth count ratchets as low as 20 tooth snap on ratchets and don't like them to much even the 30-36 tooth are awful there is one exception cornwell. Cornwell are very smooth to be such low tooth count even better with super lube, I have tried clipping the springs shorter in my older snap ons and Williams kobalt and didn't change much the kobalt and snap on 936 ratchets are the same inside to the most part and are not great to much back drag. The smoothest ratchets I got are between SK tuff 1's or my craftsman BE with Amber handle it is so smooth to be from 1939-1942 but I would dare use it as it is old and rare. Here's a pic of my 1963 snap on long military ratchets and flat style military ratchets and the craftsman.
  5. I just got a wright 3/4 sae and metric at my local pawn shop for $100. I have no idea what I'm going to do with it as I don't need anything this big sae is up to 2" and mm is up to 65mm and ratchet is at least 2ft long and it is all so heavy. I would recommend wright any day I love they're tools they are good quality usa made. I also got a snap on 3/4 ratchet and bar new logo and love it but can't use it I paid $100 for it also. Look around to getting a used usa set best bargains around as they are plentiful and not a big market for them just not much want for them.I thought about selling my stuff but shipping would be high as it's all very heavy.
  6. Sweet find I just scored an old craftsman ratchet with a yellow handle I've never seen one like it. It is very smooth to be so old I like it. Did some research on it to find it is from 39-42 and hard to find. I also got a 1/4 John Deere ratchet I think it might be made by Bonney but not sure. I got a few old new to me ratchets last I'll mention are a set of long handle snap on military ratchets which are mint and dated 63 the handles are cool and an old snap on sf710 1/2 in 3/8 body I love that thing. I like to buy unusual ratchets .
  7. I love my snap on just love it idk if that thing can compete with it, when you pick up a snap on hard handle ratcheting screwdriver you instantly can tell it's a quality tool and it's very smooth and strong and it's warrantied for life. I own 1 and my wife liked it so much we got her a pink one definitely our go to screwdrivers and the bits are awesome as well.
  8. I'd never buy anything like that way pricey and don't believe in show tools.
  9. My dad was a linesman for a few phone companies so all my life Klein has been the go to for him and is for me. I also like snap on electrical tools.
  10. I like the Milwaukee tape but in the video idk if I'd call any of those a real pass first it cut, then cracked, and cracked again, than they said it needed cleaned because it wouldn't retract right which I doubt was because of dirt but I'd give it a 7 of 10 lol buy hey I'm a 7 out of 10 myself lol nothings perfect.
  11. I don't believe for one bit that PR doesn't make Klein screwdrivers as I have many in many brands even PR and they are identical in every way shape or form from ribs on grip to the yellow handles round part above blade you use to spin the screwdriver. There is a pantent number on each grip and says made in USA on all, there's no way they can all be identical with the same patent number idk where you got your info but I'm certain as they have made them for years for Klein as Klein specializes in pliers they don't make much of they're own goods other than those and the bags/belts leather and canvas goods as they own another company they bought to make those my dad has used klien since 60's-70's and even in my life time ive noticed the quality go down and up but not much in the up department but i use them because i think of my dad when i do who is now in his 60's. They were supposed to have been making stringer tips on thier screwdrivers as they releaded the info seems like forever ago but ive noticed only slight difference at best they are still kinda soft. I will did out pics of my screwdrivers and i bet you guys you wont guess the one that says klein or PR or crescent and so on as they are identical in everyway except the name on them..I have a lot of Klein tools and I like the needle nose and larger wire cutters the most aside from snips. They do make damn good tool bags and belts that's for sure and will last decades.
  12. I want the bolstered screwdriver set and my snap on guy has a used set kinda dirty but tips are good and will clean up. How are they anyone got a set they seemed nice as a German set quality wise. Also there's a 3/8,1/4 socket set at pawn shop for $50 obo I can get for 25-30 since I'm a regular customer, how are they? I only got a 3/8 84t ratchet but love it and a couple flex wrenches. I hear a lot of good about them and I'm interested in them as I see good top notch quality.
  13. I couldn't find any Klein's at the, 3 HDs I went to, I looked for that set. The scissors are awsone and sharp as razors. My dad always carried them in his belt pouch, he was a master contractor for phone company and is a master electrician. Those are very handy for snipping the little thin copper wires in phone boxes and they will cut a penny and no knick or dull, wish I still had a pair but I can get a pair from him. The linesman pliers are legendary and strippers are great but screwdrivers suck compared to the German offerings. They are made by pratt Reed and I've seen them with many brand names even ideal and I like that brand as well I'd say maybe a little better since they own sk.
  14. Well ended up getting the 27" 1/2 and the 3/8 I was supposedto get so I guess for all the trouble and phone calls it worked out great but kinda feel bad now for ripping the poor guy a new one but hey it note not hard to warranty a tool I guess guy just had something on his mind because never had an issue with him in the past. I would have sent other tool back but he said I could keep it so hey what luck I'm glad I bought that ratchet years ago even after it broke.
  15. I hear ya about not wanting to use them, if you break it you will get a cheapo China when you try to warranty it. I just collect mine and use my wright sockets and snap on because if it breaks I get brand new of even better quality no down grade. New buys were on eBay I got 3/8 snap on for 20 f720 model and a corwell 3/8 in 1/4 body I can't wait to get that one and I paid 17 bucks shipped for it and also got a new Wera kraftform Voltage/circuit tester for $10 and you can't beat that I'd suggest you guys looking into that one I can't wait to get it. I've been buying a lot of electrical tools up. Bought a Klein clamp/multi meter with nice leads for $2 at pawn shop out of tool bin I aware they are dumb there lol also got Mac parakeet pliers for $1..cool drill press by the way, I'm looking for a old vise like a yost. I love vintage tools.
  16. The color ones are just empty shells.... Hmmm maybe I can convert my old set.
  17. Wow green and pink... Wonder if I can find them online because now I gotta have them lol... Thanks he he... Wife seen the pink and now Im definitely going to have to track them down. I have the white set and love them
  18. I'm interested in switching from makita and I hear a lot of good things about Bosch. They make everything even car parts, I've had Bosch oil filters, wiper blades and 02 sensors lol. What is the difference between the green and blue Bosch tools?
  19. I have the other way around. There is also Danaher usa Kobalt which dont The deep knurling "ring" around bottom and different chrome and font. I got some of those and the taiwan. How well do you like the ratchets. Ive never tried one.
  20. Wow thats awsome Id Kill to find a set like that. They are worth more than you payed new now and they are only tools i can think of thats like that. Ill keep hunting for a ratchet. I dont know if i have a set of sockets but ive bought all ive found.
  21. Decided to take the 1/2 over the 3/8 I was supposed to get. Also decided not to call back because just because the CSR said I could have both and went back on it doesn't mean I can't get both I don't think so I'll take the mess up it cost $249 and is the 25 3/4 long soft grip flex head and the 3/8 is $122 and is 11" long also flex soft grip and I've been wanting the big 1/2" anyways but can't afford it so got a ratchet worth twice as much because of they're mistake. I looked on eBay and I can get a 3/8 for 65-70 but the 1/2 was 150 to 200.I guess I got lucky. Wow just got the 1/2 in the mail that was supposed to be on backorder and it's huge. It's dated 2013 so how was it on back order also the soft grip is all knocked and mangled at the bottom.... Wow oh well I'll just use it as it then get a green grip one day.
  22. Haven't even received it even it's on back order and I gotta wait on it. I'll get it taken care of tomorrow and get both as promised just gotta go over the guys head and talk to whomever is above him. I'm sure done with him lol.
  23. So I started off by calling Snap on as spoke to "Steve" the CSR about replacing a cracked flex head 3/8 ratchet, never had an issue before he said that if you don't get an email requesting old tool in a day or 2 to toss out old tool. Well 4 days passed and I threw it out as I got no email. Well after awhile of expecting tool in mail I got nothing so I called them again and come to find out "Steve" messed up typing in my email in and they wanted the old tool now. I said I threw it out like you said to do and yada yada so he said he would get the replacement out. Well 4 days later I received another item I warrantied and no ratchet I called him because I noticed he messed up on replacement model #. Instead a 3/8 they got a 1/2 on list and me waiting for wrong tool well he said so sorry about that and he would let me have both for my troubles as he is the one that messed up twice. He said he would email me the new warranty number. Well I got the email and damn it he messed up again email said that I have to return the wrong item to get the item I was supposed to get and had a shipping label with warranty number. First of all I don't even have the wrong item yet and second he said I could have both for all the trouble. Now I got to call again and I'll be damn if I deal with "Steve" again. I've had things replaced plenty of time in mail and have dealt with him and others before with no issues. So now gotta call back and say what the hell and explain all my troubles. Anyone else ever have an issue with them, like I said I never have before until now... Sorry to rant and rave but wanted to share my storey. It's not snap ons fault but Steve's fault and won't let one bad experience ruin my out look on snap on as I believe they are a great company.
  24. I got the Milwaukee screwdrivers and I love them for the price I paid what's was $3 for the set new at the flea market and also have a few more from the pawn shop for 1 buck each.I think the tips are strong and its not hard to grab size you need as smaller tip screwdrivers have smaller handles and like the wire looper and stripper built in on the bigger ones. Im going to buy a wera set as they are only $35 a set on ebay. You cant beat that im just stumped to what set to buy as there are a bunch of different ones...Im kinda leaning towards the the yellow chisel drivers.
  25. I have one of the Williams ones and I like it alright. The kobalt version are highly sought after. I might get lucky one day, I want eBay like a hawk for one. I don't have a huge ratchet collection but I got a few. I'd love to post a pic but I don't have a big box right now and they are all mixed around in small boxes everywhere. My wife is buying us a big box for Christmas and I can't wait to get all my tools in 1 box except for what I keep in road kit. I plan on getting some new ratchets after Christmas as well, I'm wanting a wera and hazet and open gear wright. I love wright tools as they are my new found love and I got 100 sockets or so and some wrenches as well as 30 or so of their cougar line sockets. I have a hard time finding used ratchets around here when I do they're always broken. I did score a Beta made in Italy for 2$ not to long ago. The people thought it was broken but the teeth we're just clogged up with crud and it was a weird design that has no springs or gear but a paw that gets wedged into the teeth around the head of ratchet and it's a push through type with no reverse you just turn it upside down.
