HD "Can you help answer the question?"

I signed up to get these questions from HD customers a few years back. Been answering them when I can, and just noticed I've done over 700. Hopefully some have been useful to folks. Anybody bother doing these, or use the feature to ask a question?

I've never used it to ask a question but I often look through the list of questions if I am looking to buy something. Someone has usually already answered the question that I had. It's a nice feature, although there are a few times that I'm not sure the person answering understood what was being asked.

Yeah, no doubt. A lot of the questions posed are worded very poorly, too.

Yea a lot are questions you just ask yourself if you ask that maybe you shouldn't be using this tool lol I answer on occasion

Yeah, after reading some of the comments I really hope the person didn't end up buying whatever it was they were asking about. Otherwise bad things were going to happen.

I actually do on many websites I purchase from, and not just tools sites, also local mom and pop shops.  Although nowhere near has much has you did, but if a seller treats me fairly, I will recommend them.  That being said, it's not often I will leave anything negative, there is only one company that I will go out of my way to speak against them, for the way I was treated, not once, not twice, but on 3 separate occasions.

I get them all the time.

 

There seems to be no logic on how the questions are filtered down to the community. I seem to get questions regarding shipping items to Hawaii and Alaska and whether you can order parts in kits separately.

Yeah, I get lots of those - things like "Free shipping to Honduras?", or comments on their pricing and the like. They really should filter out the questions that clearly only customer service could answer. I must get like 10 tool questions a day sent to me on average, and probably half are things I couldn't have an answer for.

I think the next time I get a shipping question. I'm going to reply that it falls under the USPS flat rate method. That if it fits in the box we will ship it for $5.00
