The m18 is currently on sale for $60 at Home Depot. I have one and I love it. http://m.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-M18-18-Volt-Lithium-Ion-Cordless-LED-Stick-Light-Tool-Only-2352-20/205410872

Thanks, I did not need to know that LOL... looks like i'll take a look

I have the m12 one and it's a great little light too

Only on the transverse drive motor for the lumen spindles. They use a four pole brushed motor for the axial LED preloading as it has more low end torque, giving it 25% more joules at startup over competitors* offerings.

Lol, I own 2 of these and love them, my favorite light so far is my M12 stick light, it's so compact it's great! But like the setting of the 050 better, the hook and the hinge could use improvement on the dewalt, I wish it was more like the Milwaukee that locks into place.

I had the M12 lantern, DeWalt spot light and M12 flashlight and M12 metal flashlight and the DeWalt stick light. If I were to replace them I would honestly go three DCL050 s and the metal m12 flashlight and it would cost about the same.

I have all those as well and for me each have a different use, I love the Dewalt spot light when I am searching for things that are far away, i.e. seeing if I closed my chicken coop :) Lantern has been great when I take trips or needed some area lights. I do want that new M12 metal light but i think it's a little steep at the moment, should have bought it when I saw it got $79 dollars when i was away for ~$100 I think it might be a little steep at the moment, but I do like it.

The one thing that was nice about the spot light was the red light. You would be amazed at how often that was useful.

I haven't found a use for that for me yet, tried to use it to annoy the cat but just seemed to be annoyed I was looking at it.

What are some good uses for the red light?

I do wish there were ways to turn the light on and off at a certain level instead of cycling through them.

Good for not blinding you lol pretty cool if you need it up close it doesn't blast your eye balls but a low white would have done the same thing, but red light cuts differently than white in the dark it's much easier to look at

Use it at night, and then look around after the light is off. It kills your night vision far less than a bright white light.
