JimboS1ice Posted January 5, 2017 Report Posted January 5, 2017 So as some of you know I'm getting married in may, so I guess it's time, per future mrs Jimbo, to get something for my guys standing up, I'm kind of drawing a blank other than the typical beer glass or mount in the garage bottle opener, any ideas?Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk 4

I got my groomsman hatchets. I didn't get to have them engraved like I wanted but they liked them. At least I think they did. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 4
comp56 Posted January 5, 2017 Report Posted January 5, 2017 well being Italian, I gave my groomsmen a money clip with the date engraved, so be it maybe tacky but ask any of the guys and they still have it 33+ yrs now 1
ChrisK Posted January 5, 2017 Report Posted January 5, 2017 Hahahaha wow. That's actually pretty cool. Axes say so many things to a man!

ChrisK Posted January 5, 2017 Report Posted January 5, 2017 Go to Harry's and buy the Truman Razor set or something like that! Pretty inexpensive and I have two of their razors, they are fantastic and styled really nice. 1
NicolasRamos Posted January 5, 2017 Report Posted January 5, 2017 Not nearly as cool as hatchets, but my buddy had koozies made with the wedding date, and under he and his wife's name it said "to have and to hold, and to keep my beer cold"Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro 1

I thought hat was cool. I wanted to get something functional that you don't normally see. I got a personalized mug for one wedding I was in... it sits on my dresser with junk in it. Let's face it. I'll never use it for anything and at some point that mug will run away. Just like my gold fish did as a kid. A lot of stuff I see online for groomsmen is golfing related and that's not me or my groomsmen Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

BMack37 Posted January 5, 2017 Report Posted January 5, 2017 In the wedding I was just in, we got cigar humidors customized for us. I know a few that have done tie clips/money clip sets. How about engraved pliers wrenches? haha 3

Conductor562 Posted January 5, 2017 Report Posted January 5, 2017 I gave my groomsmen a Zippo lighter and a shot glass that had mine and Mrs. Conductor's name and the wedding date. Of course they all drank and all but one of them smoked, so there's that. I got an engraved hip flask at one wedding, which was kinda cool. My wife's cousin gave pocket knives Got everyone a Case XX with their names on one blade and Best Man, Groomsman, etc, on the other blade. Wish I'd thought of that. 5
Conductor562 Posted January 5, 2017 Report Posted January 5, 2017 You can also get custom Crown Royal labels. Other spirits too. That's kinda cool. Way nicer than a $7 bottle of Champagne that will go bad in a couple years https://www.etsy.com/listing/294545753/personalized-crown-royal-style-bottle?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=shopping_us_b-paper_and_party_supplies-other&utm_custom1=25a760b0-fcf6-4f87-801e-01d1ec06a968&gclid=CjwKEAiA17LDBRDElqOGq8vR7m8SJAA1AC0_7S_7u6HMwDL_qyO4ST9uqk21_IDVfd566EDnI6VVvBoCNrfw_wcB 2

Ohiostatebuckeyefan Posted January 5, 2017 Report Posted January 5, 2017 I was going to suggest a pocket knife as well. Maybe their name or your names and the date engraved or just a slogan that will remind them of your friendship.
Foneguy Posted January 5, 2017 Report Posted January 5, 2017 Congrats !!! If you have time, maybe a small handmade item. Cigar box , pocket dump tray (not sure what it's called, when you dump out your pockets on the dresser). or something small like that. 1
rrich1 Posted January 5, 2017 Report Posted January 5, 2017 I did engraved pens and flashlights. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk 3

SevenOddosFence Posted January 5, 2017 Report Posted January 5, 2017 1st off congrats jimbo - have you thought about the Kobalt personalized socket sets as a part of the gifts ? I ordered a bunch for contractors I work for the all loved them. 2
Nordraw Posted January 6, 2017 Report Posted January 6, 2017 I have one of those Kobalt ratchets and socket set in gold and it is very cool. Would make a great gift.
Theultimatehic Posted January 6, 2017 Report Posted January 6, 2017 I received a flask with my nickname in one wedding and a knife with the wedding date and my name engraved in it. I'm getting married in November so i still have plenty of time to figure out what I'd do but good thread.
