Jronman Posted August 1, 2017 Report Posted August 1, 2017 Anyone ever seen multitool blades with carbide? If there is no such thing, should they become a thing?
AnonymousJoe Posted August 1, 2017 Report Posted August 1, 2017 Yea that's all we use now, I think dremel makes them, from Home Depot

Eric - TIA Posted August 1, 2017 Report Posted August 1, 2017 Interesting, I don't think I have tried one or at least I didn't know it at the time. I was just talking with someone yesterday about this. They asked if anyone makes a blade that will last more than 20 seconds. This is good to know because the only blade I really like is the Bosch but again they don't have a long life span for the cost.
FrosBros82 Posted August 1, 2017 Report Posted August 1, 2017 I have used them as well... and I am almost positive Bosch is the one who manufactured it. It worked great, other than the price (which all multi tool accessories are expensive). I got it at a Home Depot way out west. http://www.homedepot.com/s/carbiide%20multi%20tool?NCNI-5
Jronman Posted August 2, 2017 Author Report Posted August 2, 2017 Carbide definitely has a premium over non carbide but is the extra life worth the extra cost?
AnonymousJoe Posted August 2, 2017 Report Posted August 2, 2017 Yea to me it is. Everyone's uses are different but to me I'm regularly cutting drywall and wood they just seem like they last forever
overanalyze Posted August 3, 2017 Report Posted August 3, 2017 The Bosch carbide blades are AWESOME! Since getting the Dewalt 20v OMT I haven't been able to use the Bosch ones. I will have to check out the Dremel ones. I did get some from EBay that fit my Dewalt and they are pretty darn close to the Bosch ones. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk 1
