DR99
I think this is why Dewalt hasn't released one because he multi tool market is saturated, but its still kind of shitty thing to do to people that do have the 20v battery platform they have the PC18v all they need to do is change the plastic on the outside to yellow and accept the Dewalt battery pack. Most people don't buy a cordless drill or saw, they buy into a cordless system. As popular as multi-tools are, it's shitty of Dewalt not to offer one. toolorbit
What we have researched you can see 4 brands and can check out their prices at http://www.toolorbit.com/categories/Oscillating-Tool.html . I find their prices very reasonable and affordable.
Harold Wray
Oscillating multi-tool + Cordless = Awesomeness! I use the shit out of my Milwaukee m12 multi-tool. Everywhere you need real precise clean cuts or just to cut something quick. Chase, I think you will love it when you get a oscillating multi tool. firefighter4187
yeah I was thinking Maybe a Multi tool is where Brushless is not efficient or needed??
DR99
Well Bosch has a brushless multitool that's being released soon. It might be that the Milwaukee brushless motor is not up to the rpm's a multitool needs.
firefighter4187
This Multi tool must be going towards the M18 brushed line because the Bosch brushless puts out 20,000 opms where as Milwaukee's brushed puts out 18,000... I bet Milwaukee has something up there sleeve for the next media event....Im betting on a Fuel sds and multi tool and then some M12 fuel stuff.. Jeth
For me brushless muli-tool is great cuz the run time is not that good
toolorbit
If you like oscillating multi-tool kit then you should try Bosch. their prices are affordable. They also last longer. I have had one for almost 5 years.check here
rapidkirk
I have narrowed it down to the Porter Cable 18 volt and Rockwell 12 volt Sonicrafter. Also will DeWALT comeout with one for the 20v line. The Fein Multimaster is an excellent tool. Take a look, it comes with many extras. http://www.rapidtoolsdirect.co.uk/category/fein-multimaster-blades
Conductor562
The Fein Multimaster is an excellent tool. Take a look, it comes with many extras. http://www.rapidtoolsdirect.co.uk/category/fein-multimaster-bladesFein is the king of multi-tools, but the price is usually crazy and some of the other manufacturers are catching up quickly.P.S. Harold Wray
I noticed the yet to be released Milwaukee m18 multi tool looks to have the same blade holder as the Fein cordless.
Conductor562
I really like the corded PC Multi-Tool I have. The tool-free blade change is awesome. The only downside is that the tool-free feature only works with the PC blades and if you want to use any other brand of blades, you have to buy an additional little adapter for like $10 or $15 that requires an Allen wrench like most others.
