Have you ever used this with your SDS+ drills?

My new Bosch RH540M SDS Max rotary hammer included a tube of Bosch 1.615.430.010 grease.

My usage of this tool is to clean the bits, including the sliding shaft region, prior to storage. Prior to inserting a bit into the tool, a dab of grease is applied to each shaft groove.

Exactly, It is good to know Bosch provides it together with the tool, I have not seen DeWALT doing it at all.

I’ll give it a read later. Was just wondering if there was a benefit to lubing the bit?

I think it is recommended because it helps the bit to move back and forward easily and it reduces the friction and heating.
