irishroey
Hi my mitre saw dw718 is cutting off square also but its on the tilt arm it's ok at 45 or 22.5 its just at zero I need to square it up and tighten the handle but it can get annoying and time consuming after a few cuts having to this Any help would be great
Mr. Yellow
The easiest way is to read the manual in this case. It provides all the steps to (re)align your saw, both miter and bevel. See here http://servicenet.dewalt.com/Products/Detail/DW718#, download the manual and look for page

richo1234
this is not uncommon on all saws.download the manual and most explain how to adjust .A large builders square is really handy for this and dont loosen the bolts to much,It will take some patiance .good luck

comp56
never go by the numbers you see always go by the square, these things are mass produced and some times the indicator can be off by a step or so or even the indicator needle can be off..........any brand any model...... the ol saying measure twice cut once same as with a mitre saw check before cutting 54 wrong angles
chadlanthier
Yep building a deck this summer, moved my miter saw around a few times and did not notice right away that the angle adjustment had moved. I was like what the hell.
