RickyMcGrath
Hard to imagine they're only rated at 1,000 lbs. the plastic saw horses are rated at 1,000 lbs.
RickyMcGrath
What are these for?
gowings
That bracket locks the miter saw in place. You just slide it down the rail to the location you want it.
RickyMcGrath
You sure? It appears to be in a fixed location. Does it come off there and put up top?
gowings
That might keep the set together as a lock. Aids in aligning them before turning the thumbs latches on the side, if your transporting. Hmm. You have me thinking now

gowings
Here is what I did with my stand. Now my table saw stand. Light, portable and very sturdy. Cut the legs off 12". I already have the 6 ft. model for my Miter Saw, but have used this for small jobs requiring a few cuts. A little low for the miter saw but off the floor and my knees. Works sweet for me. RickyMcGrath
And then do what exactly? My apologies here. I'm sure it's stupid simple, but I'm having a hard time envisioning what the heck to do with the thing. Lol.
gowings
They call it a saw locator. I looked on the drawings of the parts list.
RickyMcGrath
Barnaby helped me out! Lol. I see it now.... It looks as if it has a dual purpose. Replicable location of saw and the hooks lock it in.

I'm sure it's stupid simple, but I'm having a hard time envisioning what the heck to do with the thing. Lol.take one of your yellow top bracket clamps, and set it right in the middle of that bracket. its a location bracket. to repeat the same spot when you clamp the top yellow bracket. at least thats the way it is on the miter saw stands. RickyMcGrath
That bracket locks the miter saw in place. You just slide it down the rail to the location you want it.I'm confused again. This work stand doesn't have the channels like the miter stands have. Look at the original photos on the post. No channels on top or the side of the main horizontal beam. Gatorb888
Your right, now channels on this one. So you have to put the saw off to one side on this one.
