Justin Hernandez Posted August 24, 2015 Report Share Posted August 24, 2015 23 years ago today Hurricane Andrew destroyed South Florida and changed our lives forever. I live in the same house today as I did back then in a city called Homestead which was leveled by the storm. I was to young to remember anything but some of the stories I've heard over the years are terrifying. Chris Posted August 25, 2015 Report Share Posted August 25, 2015 That storm really changed how homes are constructed, it's amazing it's been this long. I remember watching it live on tv as it blew in overnight on the Weather channel. I've always been amazed by storms, I find them absolutely fascinating. I don't know what it was about hurricane Andrew that sticks in my head as the first real hurricane I remember.
