orcking
Just got a dewalt oscillating tool with charged and battery battery was charged and used it, but could not recharge it again. The charger says charged, but the led on battery had only 1 out of 3 I tried another charger same thing. Returned the battery and got a new one and now I can't get it to charge passed 2 out of 3 Are they batteries defective??? Also if I get a 5 amp 20v version can I use it in all my 20v tools? Thanks

orcking
Update: This seems to be a common issue: http://www.amazon.com/review/R3P5025YBBTDTL Anyone knows how to do a 5 cycle priming of the battery??
DR99
I have never heard of priming a battery, and Dewalt never stated this anywhere else. Hopefully GatorB can stop in and clarify this.

Gatorb888
Priming is a legacy NiCD behavior and does not transfer over to the 20V MAX Batteries. Check and see if you are fully engaging the terminals on the charger. DCB107, DCB112 (this charger is packed with tools that come with the DCB203) exhibit a behavior where if the pack is not fully engaged and locked into the charger, the LED will blink and go solid, but there is no charge current flowing through the pack.
