john92awd Posted October 25, 2015 Report Posted October 25, 2015 As the title says, wondering if anyone has used the new mac tools 20v impact wrench. I believe the model number is BWP138. I bought one very recently and am not happy with the power it has
DR99 Posted October 25, 2015 Report Posted October 25, 2015 Conductor has some experience with the Mac cordless tools.
Bigmikez Posted October 25, 2015 Report Posted October 25, 2015 Our Mac guy at the shop let us use the new Mac tools for a day at the shop I really liked them a lot but we're to pricey for me at the time.
Bigmikez Posted October 25, 2015 Report Posted October 25, 2015 Right now HD has the 2763 milwaukee fuel 1/2 impact wrench for $199 I have it and it's a beast and hasn't let me down yet....
john92awd Posted October 26, 2015 Author Report Posted October 26, 2015 I'm thinking I might have got a dud
Conductor562 Posted October 27, 2015 Report Posted October 27, 2015 If you aren't happy with it you definitely got a dud. Call Mac, they'll make it right.I've had mine since September and it's all I could ever want in a 3/8". Pound for pound I'm not sure there's a stronger 3/8" cordless out there. I got it mainly for increased forward torque over the BWP038 and have been delighted with it.
john92awd Posted October 27, 2015 Author Report Posted October 27, 2015 Thanks conductor. I'll definitely have my rep look at it
john92awd Posted January 21, 2016 Author Report Posted January 21, 2016 Conductor, I got my warranty replacement unit. It has a bit more power but still disappointed, tried torquing a med/large fastener to 200ft/lb and it wouldn't rattle it off... it is rated for 325 so you would think that 200 would be easy for it. Have you ever tested the reverse torque on yours?
