Cat smart phone

Smart phones are tools too right? I would think most on here use a phone so I wanted to share one I found. Cat or caterpillar has been making phones for years. And they are tough and not cheaply made. The newest one they came out with has a flier thermal imaging built in. And this past January they teamed up with Verizon wireless here in the US. I had the s50 for a couple days when it first came out, but AT&T shut me off cause it wasn't a approved phone by them. Check them out guys.

these days it seems smart phones are main stream Samsung has a rugged model not sure it will fit the bill...

The phone is shockproof and IP68 certified, meaning it is dust and water resistant up to 1.5 meter and 30 minutes. It's also MIL-STD-810G certified which means it can withstand salt, dust, humidity, rain, vibration, solar radiation, transport and thermal shock.

Very James Bond-ish! I don't know if the caveman in me could stray from iPhone...it's the dumbmans smartphone.

I went from iPhone to Android back to iPhone, the reasons: The Apple app store, no major bloatware and the speed of charging. I like Windows 10 as a mobile OS but the app store is horrendous, just no support.

I'm not sure if the 60 is out yet. But that flir is a really cool feature. I don't think I would use it to its full potential. But it is nice to know that the technology is out there for the guys that could use it. It bugs me that most other phones are so brittle when you know they can be made so much better.

I'm an apple whore, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad and Mac book air, they work together seamlessly which is really awesome. Had a bad experience with android early on in their life with an HtC, I'm sure it's better now but why switch. Flir in that phone looks sweet would be pretty awesome to have.

they all have their pro's and cons.......when I had Apple I hated how they wanted to be my best friend by asking security info all the time......enter this enter that......I'm a small time guy in the middle of no where who the heck needs to get into my phone so bad....what is with so much security.......I'm happy to just pick up the land line and call someone but no one whats a phone call any more....our land line rings 3 times a week and 100% it is some kind of telemarketers ...........these smart phones are not phones anymore I don't know why they call them cell phones.......dial this number remember that?......
