That's over my head but sounds interesting and logical.

Hello Rich and welcome to the forum and the crew.

That's a nice setup. I wonder if they sell just the box. I like the Festool drill but I have a couple of drills that I use I like that box and would like to get one. I like the setup with the bits on top and easy access. Nice.

Before you do anything, I would plug the compressor into a different outlet that is attached to a different circuit and see if you get the same result. I had the same thing happen to me years ago and thought it was the compressor. Turns out my breaker was faulty, so I just changed the breaker and was good to go.

Do you mean you are buying a new commercial building or are having the city building inspector there or do you mean a home inspector?

That is weird for $50. Good luck and let us know what you find.

Great question. This is such a frustrating topic because it's not an easy answer or decision. Back in the day, it seemed like everything lasted for a long time so no big deal spending a little extra money. Now with everything designed to be thrown away quickly, it's hard to say if you are getting more with a $100 microwave or a $1000 microwave, will one last longer or are you just paying for the look or design? The only thing I could think to be a determining factor would be watts as far as the price difference. We bought a washer and dryer about 6 months ago and went through the same headache. There is such a big price difference between a lower-end model and a higher-end model. Couldn't figure out if we were paying for the name, the features, or actual better hardware where it will last longer. If it were me, I would want a higher-watt microwave (around 1,000) so it's a little quicker to warm things up and I would just find something in the middle. I think the higher-priced ones will have the same watts of 1,000 or 1,200 but will have features you may never use. Sorry wish I could give you a more precise answer but it's just so frustrating how the appliance world works.

Very cool and thanks for sharing. I am wondering if their Exo 18 exoskeleton is a design they did with Hilti as they offer something similar.

All I know is that you have one of the best collections I have seen. I am jelous.

It's a shame this is happening and as you said, it's happening to a lot of businesses. Ridgid has worked so hard to get the upper hand with their warranty and hopefully, this isn't a common theme with them. Sucks when a consumer spends all their hard earn money and a company will not back or work with them to resolve the issue. If this is a common problem with Ridgid, might think twice before I invest in buying their tools. Hopefully, it gets resolved but keep us updated.

Wow that is a nice first aid kit to include. Has everyting.

Sounds like an electronic problem but I have no idea of where to start except to call Makta support 1 (800) 462-5482.

Wow, that looks very cool, and can't wait to see your finished project. I have never done something like this so hard for me to give any real input.

Both are great saw but very different. If you are doing a ton of demo work, you will need the bigger saw, the 187. The 189 I believe is a one-handed saw for smaller jobs.

Sweet, thanks for the information. Will have to look into this if we keep our trailer. -
MIne works great an no issues except for getting the dust collector to stay on. That's just a bad design.

I have heard of people having issues with some of the new Sawzalls. I am not sure what models or manufacturing dates but sounds like it's an issue not isolated to you.

I don't have that saw anymore so can't help you on that one.
