  1. Why would you prefer a non electric brake over the electric brake version? The electric brake seems like something tool companies would prefer to sell because it makes the tool a little bit safer. You know guys like to pin guards open and such I know they are being stupid in the first place, but you figure they would want to mitigate any issues as much as they can. I'm going to have to think about this list though I like a ton of tools picking the top 3 is really making me think about what tools I really like the most.
  2. Home Depot is doing the same deal for today http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/catalog/servlet/ContentView?pn=PM_Special_Buy_ofThe_Day&storeId=10051&langId=-1&catalogId=10053&cm_sp=Homepage-_-5_23_-Row2_A-_-Special_Buy_Of_The_Day
  3. The Black and Decker Versapack drill, reciprocating, saw, and flashlight from the factory recon store. I think I sold them at a garage sale as the batteries were dead and I had much better tools by then the first generation ryobi lithium ion tools.
  4. I know Autozone rents some auto related tools out for free don't know if they include this tool though.
  5. Well I feel kind of bad now I didn't know TEKTON was based in Michigan. I never really considered their products before didn't really know about them to be honest I hope I can add on to my collection of tools with some TEKTON tools this time around.
  6. I have to say one thing that draws me to buy tools more often at HD is the clearance tool rack section. The Lowes by me hardly has anything out and it it is the discount is a joke its often like 20 bucks off the normal price.
  7. The tough boxes are more weather proof that the L boxes. The dewalt ones have rubber gaskets and such.
  8. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Ryobi-Router-Table-with-1-5-Peak-HP-Router-R163RTA/100618267#.UZcWjsoUsZ4 Was this the one you were talking about? It's oos online I can only figure is its getting updated or they killed it. It's really crazy it was built in the usa though didn't think any tti tools were made here.
  9. Yea the big problem is blow molded cases waste so much room and your screwed if you need to carry more than 2 of them. Another bs move tool companies do is when they release something new like the m12 fuel line they only offer the tools individually not as a combo pack I think most people have figured out unless you need the extra batteries is a waste of money. The only reason I did it was they had the free 4.0 and 2.0 ah battery giveaway going on.
  10. Yea I was just thinking about this also this is really a weak area for Milwaukee is their lack of a tool storage system like Dewalt or Bosch considering Milwaukee is such a trade oriented tool company I would have expected a nicer system to have some organization. I will say their blow molded cases are the nicest out there, but like everything they don't give you any space to put any extra bits or just random things you need with the tool.
  11. Yea I was just helping an older neighbor put up some garden tool racks after he had his garage rebuilt after a fire. He was using a really old Black and Decker drill it had seen better days. He was just shocked at how quick everything went after I got my M12 fuel Impact driver. He was just shocked at the noise it made and everything he though the thing was broken. I guess I kind of got off track about what was going on here, but yea power tools can last a long time they just end up being kinda worthless too use except for some rare heavy duty ones.
  12. Wow thank you very much! I usually have some crazy banter to say about something but thank you very much I have been looking at getting a Tap and Die set I just didn't have the extra cash to justify it so this is really awesome.
  13. I would expect to see a bunch of new m18 fuel tools. If I was a betting man a new version of the 18v sds with with a brushless motor is up there in new tool announcements. I hope so see some brushless cutting tools a it would be really cool to see a fuel circular saw with a full sized blade. I have nothing against a brushless sawzall either. Would be interesting if the we saw some m28 fuel tools.
  14. The only thing I can think of is 12v charger is smaller and the 12v max was out before 20v max tools, but you would think economy of scale would make dewalt think on just having one charger. Also they should have a multi battery charger out now they have the one that does the old plug and the new packs, but don't have one that won't charge more than one 20v max pack.
  15. You might not watch some tv but a sound system might be nice or at least run some speaker wire beforehand.
  16. Well Milwaukee should be having a press day soon so if they don't announce anything then you should be pretty safe, but it won't stop them from having a surprise release either like replacing the m12 sds non fuel with the fuel model in less than a year.
  17. Might want a wifi booster nearby the internet is great for tips and such for all sorts of projects if the house is big enough to need a booster.
  18. I would run a subpanel in the garage it might end up making things simpler in the long run. Also If it's really hot and humid I would consider getting an AC unit of some kind. Good lighting is kind of a given. I dunno If drywall and insulation is in the cards at the moment. Also an area to put a compressor that's out of the way and keeps the noise down would be nice if your using air tools a lot. Also if possible build the garage up on like one course of brick keeps things cleaner if you want to be able to hose it down. A nice floor coating of some kind is an idea.
  19. Well is this just going to be a car garage or more of a workshop garage? Is the garage going to be attached or detached? A few ideas would be having a drain in the floor its nice so you can wash off a car when it's cold out, and also bring out hot and cold water if possible if you really want the man cave garage I would put up a urinal if you can they have the no flush ones now. Lot's of nice tool storage and benches. That's all I can think of now. One last thing try to go as high as possible with the garage for attic storage if possible.
  20. Yellow clashes with a red fire truck just saying there is another brand that would match the fire truck.
  21. I just use the husky set I got for Christmas I don't do enough wrenching on stuff to justify pending any more money on hand tools.
  22. I just want to know why Milwaukee can't put the 3 led lights in the nose of their impact driver like most of the other companies even their sister companies have it like ridgid and rybobi.
  23. Wow none of the other brands cordless tools even come close in the amount of torque the IR impact wrench has.
  24. Not really sure if this needs to be posted on this forum not a lot of interest in IR tools from what I have seen this site tends to be more DIY/Contractor where as this IR tool is more of a Professional Mechanic's tool, but it still can be used on different job sites also same with a good chunk of the other Ingerseoll Rand tools like their compressors.http://www.coptool.com/ingersoll-rand-w7150-impact-wrench-free-battery-deal/
  25. It's hard to look through everything they have but they had some good prices on a refurb Rigid 5 piece x4 combo kit for under 350 dollars.
