  1. The Youtube channel still has new videos posted. I never really went to their main page before.
  2. Only problem is the number of people using Mac books around here.
  3. I have the M12 sub scanner I like it It's way better than any stud finder I ever used they are such a pain to use the cheap ones. I think the Milwaukee scans deeper but the Dewalt identifies different materials better
  4. I have the M12 Hackzall I never used the 18v version I dunno if I would like it any bigger. I will admit Dewalt has the superior 12v reciprocating saw right now the ability to change handle position is pretty sweet.
  5. Yea using the nickname conductor just made me think your age being older. Plus the old tool knowledge also helps to make some one think your older.
  6. Hrmm, totally had conductors age wrong I totally though he was in his 40's 50's. I'm older than you are I'm going to be 33 by September.
  7. Plus some tools It might be along time before they get a brushless update where the bl tech isn't worth the extra cost, or is appropriate.
  8. I don't see them changing too soon they have ton more tools too update too brushless I would say your safe for a good 2-3 years excluding battery updates.
  9. What brushless tools would you like to see next? I would like to see a brushless ros sander and a vacuum. I know an 18v brushless SDS isn't that far away. Just for conductor a brushless pop rivet gun that might be a tad over kill for that task.
  10. Like Wayne said there are always going be defective tools with the level of complexity shit can go sideways. How the company treats you is just as important. Most of the horror stories are about the early lithium ion tools the cell tech wasn't their was well as the electronics to protect the batteries. Once we see 6 to 8ah batteries I think your really going to see very few corded tools on the job site, and I bet OSHA will help this along also because of the trip and fall hazards with cords.
  11. How awkward does it look pulling all Milwaukee Fuel power tools out of Bosch L-boxes? I really want to have better organization than tool bags and the blow moulded cases I currently have.
  12. Yea that's what kind of blew my mind they offer saws like that over there but not here. If you ever watch any UK tv shows they are even more obsessed about workers safety than we are over here.
  13. They even sell the the Dewalt radial arm saw over there. No one really sells them here anymore sliding miter saws made them obsolete plus they were dangerous as hell to operate. Now you though the other Dewalt table saw miter saw combos were crazy this on is like a transformer. http://www.tooled-up.com/product/dewalt-d27105-flip-over-saw-12-305mm-blade-2000w-110v/127551/
  14. Yea I felt really bad about that backlash :/ I was just posting a cool woodshop/place full of interesting tools and projects. Can't win them all.
  15. Yea I read a lot of sparkies are running away from Klein to Wera and Whia. I have some Klein tools that work great. I learned my lesson on cheap wire strippers cut my forehead open from the force to strip the wire, and the worst part was I was going to pick up the Klein wire strippers but I decided not too because I was all most done with the project. The Milwaukee hallow core nut drivers do look interesting though for guys that need that kind of driver.
  16. This 8V max screw driver seems like a waste, I know its probably shares some components with the gyros, but wouldn't their resources be better off one adding and updating the 12v and 20v max lines. I would love to see the table saw miter saw combo's they sell overseas. I wonder if its an regulatory safety issue is the problem with them not being offered here. http://www.dewalt.co.uk/powertools/productoverview/hierarchy/51/
  17. I think It gives them time too gauge if the tool is going to be popular or not, and it gives them a chance to ramp up production/test the tool longer with out the risk of releasing a bum tool in the USA.
  18. I'm not conductor but I would say Milwaukee is more professional over Dewalt. Milwaukee is more trade oriented towards plumbers and electricians. Where as Dewalt is more set up for general carpentry they do have some diagnostic tools but not nearly as many as Milwaukee.
  19. Yea that's one thing Dewalt and Bosch has over Milwaukee, but you can still buy the other brands storage options. I don't know if they think the storage market is saturated, or they are just more concerned about designing more tools.
  20. I would try to buy when they are offering a free extra battery though you know how much additional ones cost.
  21. Yes I would say they are a step up from the current Dewalt 20v tools.
  22. The 3 speed gearbox which is nice, but the downside is with a 3.0 ah pack it's really heavy.
  23. I guess they have a warehouse full of 3/8" chucks sitting around somewhere. That's usually the size chuck home owner special drills come in. Lately I have been telling people that are just doing work around the house to get an impact driver or screwdriver and the hex style drill bits. It covers most basic diy tasks.
  24. I had both the compact and premium Dewalt 20v hammer drill at one point. I like the compact size of the fuel and the power it has it feels really good when you hold it. The one downside I will say on the fuel impact is it does not have the led's on the head of the tool I'm not working in low light conditions that often but it seems to light up everything ok. I drilled a ton of 5/8's holes for anchors and the drill worked great hammering through 50 year old cement my only complaint was the noise but that's common for all hammer drills. To sum it up they are some of the best tools I ever used.
  25. It also seems like there really wasn't a whole lot of innovation going on with cordless tools like their is now. It's gotten to be like the Iphone where your is now upgraded someway every year with some new feature. A In the 2000's if you bought a cordless tool and it might be 4 years or more before anything changed.
