  1. I kind of like how the battery that's made for the craftsmen 12v tools which is made my TTI which also owns Milwaukee has a battery with led's on the bottom so it's also a flashlight for a contractor I guess that's really not needed, but its kinda cool if you don't have a flashlight on you all the time also.
  2. I wish we could get an answer on why they don't have the led's on the tip of the tool. I think it might be a cost reason they use the same part for the compact impact wrenches. That's just a straight up guess really. I think Milwaukee is the only big company that still has the led in the handle of the tool.
  3. I really like my Fuel impact driver Its my go to tool most of the time now.
  4. One thing I did notice is the Dewalt 4.0 ah stuff has different model numbers which is nice. I still don't know why Dewalt didn't release the 20v tools with a fuel gauge at the beginning. That's one of the small downsides of the M12 line I wish they had the fuel gauge on the battery. You have to think the back stock the store has what they have in the warehouses of home depot and even dewalt it's hard to get from the stores the most current model of some tool my local HD just started to stock some of the M12 fuel tools.
  5. Might want to wait and have some extra money when the M18 fuel saws come out. If your tool itch is going crazy look at some of the M18 fuel impact wrenches plus as a bare tool you can save a few bucks
  6. Yea was just browsing my local HD to see if they had any good clearance tool deals I saw that they have put in a Makita endcap display it hasn't been set up yet though. The M12 display looks pathetic seriously there were so many open spots it makes you think they are discontinuing the M12 line of tools. We all know that's not true, but someone that doesn't know better would think it.

    Sorry guys

Well hope it all works out just glad its nothing too crazy.
  8. Home Depot probably asks Milwaukee to keep it that way stores don't want to carry so many different model numbers and have too many different places to slot where the tool goes in the display.
  9. They didn't mention it in any of the videos, but they were pretty short also.
  10. Watching Waynes videos is like watching Top Gear Uk you see a whole lot of cars you would love to buy but you can't because they are not sold in the US. It's not quite true with Metabo but they are fairly rare over here and if you can find them its mostly the metal working tools.
  11. it's what happens when you release all of the cool tools first. Even Dan isn't the hardcore Dewalt fan he used to be.
  12. I have seen the phantom camera used before on some other clips it just has insane quality for slow motion video's.
  13. It would only let me embed 2 Youtube video's in one post here is the 3rd one.
  14. These just looked too dam awesome not to post. I would rather not have the lame marketing speak over during the video though.
  15. I think it's a good call that the M28 line is either done or it's never really going to be updated. It was popular with some people but it's not really being marketed at all right now. The high voltage tools are a fringe market they are really expensive, and you only see tools like the SDS drills from bosch and makita being marketed at the moment.
  16. Well Bosch has a brushless multitool that's being released soon. It might be that the Milwaukee brushless motor is not up to the rpm's a multitool needs.
  17. Yea I saw that and was kind of confused on why it was listed as a new tool. Kinda bummed out on no chipping feature its just one of those things it's nice too have. I always buy the hammer drill version of a regular drill it's a 10 dollar difference and you never know if it might come in handy.
  18. Yea I though it was brushless but it looks like Harold is right I don't see any fuel branding on it kind of a bummer I assumed it was.
  19. Here is an article about the whole deal It's most about how HD is trying to stay competitive against amazon in power tools, and how orchard tools got caught in the middle. http://www.fastcompany.com/3004439/home-depots-war-amazon-causes-collateral-damage-lawsuit
  20. It's a weird deal with ridgid power tools emerson electric owns the name HD uses it for their in store brand like Husky which was a independent tool maker at one time. It's confusing with all these exclusivity deals tool makers and stores have now. Home Depot really has it the best the have Makita and Milwaukee as brands that their stores can only carry their is a lawsuit going on about this going on right now. Lowes has been screwed over pretty bad by all of this but if you notice Home Depot is way more contractor oriented than Lowes. Lowes has more decoration type items I will say lowes has way cleaner stores than the HD.
  21. I don't even think Home depot stocks the Milwaukee mitersaw in store though your pretty limited to buying it online only Milwaukee could put out a rebaged Ridigid table saw. TTI builds the power tools for Rigid the plumbing tools and other stuff is still made by Emerson electric its pretty much anything Ridgid sold at HD is made by TTI the stuff you get at supply stores is made by Emerson its strange how that whole deal works.
  22. Bosch and PC have been the best at updating their multitools Fein is the originator of it but they are really expensive. I would have liked to have see Milwaukee come out with some cordless nailers a trim nailer would be awesome yet suck because I have a Paslode framer and trim nailer allready. Milwaukee is really geared to plumbing and electrical work with some general contracting tools in the mix. Dewalt is more set up for general contracting they have table saws and such.
  23. Milwaukee is kind of confusing on the ratings on their brushed tools they have some that only have 450fp of torque and they have some with 750 fp of torque. The Fuel with xc batteries has 725 fp of torque. I really want the brushless saws and the tool less change multitool that's a big improvement over the m12 multitool I have.
  24. This kind of caught me by surprise they have updated the brushed tools also no one really mentioned this at the media event. I guess it makes sense though they have to keep certain price points for certain people. http://www.coptool.com/how-milwaukee-is-leading-the-way-in-cordless-power-tools/#more-2311
  25. A few tool lines back in the low power low run time nicad days did have a corded ac adapter to run a cordless tool, but from what I remember they were expensive and not popular to buy. I will be honest I'm surprised they let people test drills with actual drill bits you figure legal would be all over that with the liability of some kid drilling another kids hand or something. People let their kids run wild at home depot.
