  1. It's crazy how much those mini tractors cost you can buy a Nissan Vesrsa sedan the cheapest car on sale currently in the USA for about what a compact tractor costs. I still really really want one even though I have no land.
  2. I wanted a good nights sleep not the possible chance of a coma or death. :-P
  3. Yea another person had a link to a Dewalt multitool also so it looks like they are going to put out some new tools for the holidays.
  4. https://www.facebook.com/pages/A-Concord-Carpenter-Comments/158483627512457?hc_location=timeline Is the facebook page.
  5. I'm sure that IR compressor is nowhere near as loud as the compressors we are talking about. Plus if your not using it every day is a huge factor also.
  6. Well the link is down now but I think almost everyone saw it.
  7. This was just posted on a Concord Carpenter facebook and webpage http://www.aconcordcarpenter.com/2013/07/dewalt-compact-job-site-radio-dcr018.html?fb_comment_id=fbc_614739478557424_6956212_614996205198418#f21ad43646451e
  8. Never heard of the shop fox name and it looks really hit or miss with that drill press. A good number of reviews say its poorly packaged to ship, and if your going to spend that much money I would want a tool that has good options for service and parts. If you look online a lot of the bench tools are made by the same company but they brand it for another company.
  9. The last time I used a drill press was high school shop class. If buying new isn't a priority check out craigslist there are deals out there you just have to be smart on how you deal with people on there. The biggest scams seem to be cars and any sort of electronics computers or cell phones.
  10. Harbor Freight has some drill presses that also get really good reviews. Do you need a bench or full size model? Also do you want a made in the USA tool because they still make some of the stationary tools here. Home depot sells a bunch online also http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/catalog/servlet/Search?storeId=10051&langId=-1&catalogId=10053&keyword=drill+press&Ns=None&Ntpr=1&Ntpc=1&selectedCatgry=Search+All
  11. Right now Lowes is getting rid of Knipex tools I know they oriented for electrical work, but their are more than 50% off right now.
  12. Talking about Dewalt I wonder what ever happened to Dewaltdude. Did the general love of Milwaukee power tools drive him away from the forum? We never bashed the brand just were annoyed with how long things took to be released for the most part. It's just weird he was pretty active and then just vanished. I don't want this place to get way too busy but a little more activity would be nice.
  13. I dunno how guys can work next to that noise all day long maybe they have developed hearing loss from the noisy compressor, so it all works out over the long term.
  14. I have some Kelin screw drivers they seem nice enough. The one I have been using the most is a combination of a communications punchdown tool and screwdriver.
  15. I was at a friends house and he had 20 gallon craftsman oilless compressor that thing was so insanely loud and it's the worlds most annoying sound at the same time. That's what made me get the Paslode cordless nailers I though all compressors were loud.
  16. Wow, that is cheap I wonder why they are so cheap they were just released I thing being exclusive to Sears was a mistake. Sears seems very unpopular now for tool purchases.
  17. Conductor is going to be grinding all night. Sorry couldn't help it been having crazy insomnia the past few nights, but congrats on the new tool. I just have the Ryobi 18v grinder I kind of wish i never bought it's not that its a bad tool I only really needed it for one project.
  18. I have done that on larger items that are bulky or heavy to carry somewhere else.
  19. You really have to be careful with cellphones or laptops people that call to buy sound shady as hell sometimes.
  20. I usually use craigslist and meet at a busy place like a Mc Donalds
  21. That's the plan at the moment if no big expenses come up when they are released. Plus I need to sell the old ones.
  22. Well you put some beauty marks on it now. I do like to keep things looking nice, but a well used tool is going to have some wear.
  23. The best deal is the 118 piece set for 75 dollars there are a bunch of other sets on sale also. I have the link to Toolguyd for all the details about the coupon codes and Item links. I figured Chase would be all over this. http://toolguyd.com/dewalt-118pc-mechanics-tool-set-deal-072013/
  24. Bosch really does it right with the power box they really don't put any compromises into the design of it. The dewalt 20v was kind of a letdown they didn't really change it up too much compared to the wait people had to put up with. Dewalt really should have had a stronger launch lineup or had a nice release a year later to have the basics they didn't have an impact wrench till way later on.
  25. I have the Old impact and drill the new fuel impact and drill, hackzall, rotary tool, multitool, clamp meter, hvac temp gun, led flashlight radio, and heated jacket isthe M12 stuff I have. I would like both M12 ratchets, fuel impact wrenches, the inspection camera, the right angle drill, jig saw , and one of those nice new heated hoodies. The dream tools would be the bandsaw and fuel sds I don't really need them that bad plus the M12 sds has no chipping function if I did get an sds drill that would be feature I would want. It looks like you do a lot more metal working and mechanical repairs than I do. I do more of the home improvement kind of stuff.
