Hey guys and gals, Happy Easter! Have a safe holiday!
  7. No problem Andy. I hate seeing you guys get ripped off. It truly pisses me off.
  8. Go to the Makita site page (Makita USA here). There is a warranty link on the site that will give you information as to making a claim.
  9. Yup, top of the line. $$$ I paid $289 for my my box, it is made (I think, I can't quite remember) by Tradesman. I will say that this box in particular is American made. Tradesman is a good line with decent price point features and the heavy duty gas lifts work great and the lock is solid. The box is a full size heavy gauge black powder coated aluminum box with a heavy duty slide tray (my Kobalt did not come with one). I'd attach pictures but I cannot figure out how to do it!!!!
  10. So, I bought a 2012 black Dodge Ram about six months ago. I wanted a truck box for it. This is kind of dumb but here you go. I did not have a ton of money and wanted to buy an American made box (aluminum - black) I owned a Kobalt box from Lowes with my last truck but left it with it. The box was made in the USA. so I figured I'd get a new Kobalt box. Problem is they are all made in Mexico now with a light grade aluminum. After looking, researching, praying, pleading to Heaven, I found the Husky box in black, made in the USA! Tadummmmmm! Also, if you buy a Back Rack brand head ache cage for your new truck, low grade Chinese made steel! Buy the Pro Rack brand. USA made higher grade steel? Price difference on Buyautotrucks.com? $20 more. My tool box? Same price as Kobalt, 2mm thicker, USA made. I know, useless info but maybe there is hope for us yet if we shop around!
  11. What...this? It's but a mere flesh wound!
  12. Hahahahaha! JESU# CHRIS# RUN AWAY!!!!!!
  13. Sorry Dan, I got rid of the radio and switched to Bosch. I know you probably did this but the batteries are good? Also try brushing the connection bars that the battery clips onto, use a light brush or even an eraser to clean those terminals. Sometimes grease just gets on them and prevents the juice from flowing so to speak. I finally got rid of mine because of reception problems but I will say the battery terminal always worked on mine.
  14. You don't frighten us, English pig-dogs! Go and boil your bottoms, sons of a silly person! I blow my nose at you, so-called Arthur King you and all your silly English K-niggits!
  15. Yeah it is bad but with the process we have here, it is better than it ever has been. Problem is the one month turn around on the pawn report. But at least the seller has been identified and IF the stolen equipment was reported and entered we can get it back. Worse place for stolen and I am sure everybody knows this, Craigslist. No checks and balances. If you should say buy a generator or anything else for that ,matter, be leery of missing PIN or VIN (trailer). Not necessarily stolen but a good chance it could be! If it is and if it gets recovered, the property will get confiscated and your out of cash!!! Remember, GET A BILL OF SALE!!! VERIFY THE SELLERS NAME ETC...!!! Not everybody is a thief but when you dropping a few bones on the piece of equipment, that's YOUR hard earned money at stake!
  16. THANK YOU!!!!! My blood started to boil again yesterday! You can tell I'm getting older, I talk politics now!
  17. So, it came to mind tonight that maybe I can help some of you help yourselves. Among the myriad of jobs I have at work, I teach auto theft and equipment theft at the academy. There is alarming statistic as it relates to equipment theft and recovery. The problem is that heavy equipment (skid steers, generators etc.) do not have VIN's (vehicle identification numbers) like on a car. Heavy equipment has a PIN (product identification number) and is just beginning to form a data base but it is still not wide spread. Consequently if some scum sucking dirt wad should happen to come on your site and happen to lift some equipment there is a good chance you won't get it back. What I'd recommend, document the equipment make and model, PIN, distinguishing marks etc. Remember, a lot of driveable equipment uses the same key to operate multiple pieces of equipment. When you report (God forbid this happens to you) a theft to Law Enforcement if you don't properly identify it to them it will get reported incorrectly and you can miss that piece of equipment goodbye. The best example of this is someone takes a tracked skid steer. Everybody, aside from the pros, call this a Bobcat. It could be a Case or whatever. In short, if the report is not made correctly, even if the dirt sucking but wad brings it to a pawn shop or sells it on CL you won't get it back. In NH people that sell to pawn shops have to leave a photo copy of their picture ID and the pawn shop has to do a monthly report to the local police agency. If the reported item was properly reported...BAM! Dirt bag going to jail and you get your equipment back! Hope this helps!
  18. I cannot believe that stupid Euro is still worth more than the US Dollar. Thanks Obama! If we didnt have such an entitlement government giving to a such an entitled population maybe out money might be worth something.
  19. Ha! Ze French has no use for you stupid little tools, you stupid little man!
  20. You know...I think they still use pounds. Actually, thanks to my Top Gear addiction (actually BETTER than porn) I am positive they use pounds. They are always using that unit for the cost of new cars. I know the exchange of pounds vs. Dollars is in the UK's favor but how much?
  21. Oh definitely the AM! With an exploding seat! Man, Wayne, looks like you just got your tech team! Conductor and I will hook you up!
  22. Hahahahaha! We gotta get him some cards!!!!
  23. Wayne Burgess, Plumber, Movie Star and International Man of Mystery!!!!!! Your "pal" wouldn't be a Bond girl per chance?
  24. Hey Wayne, I gotta figure out the exchange rate to answer that. I will say the guys over there seem friendly. I love watching their videos, the bald guy with glasses is awesome! I know to ship is pretty expensive I've seen world wide shipping but at 30-40$ US and the exchange is still upside down for us. I noticed our exchange rate with Canada has gone back in out favor but not by much.
  25. Smelly cheese hunting wine drinking foul breathing condescending French! Nah just kidding ? Oh and Crazyandy, in the USA we now call them Freedom Fries!!!! Hahahahahaha
