  1. Yup Red is good. Plus that new Milwaukee graffic looks awesome! I have to admit, the 20v and 12v lineup from Dewalt is really nice. I do not like the XRP drill (Freakin' thing is the size of bowling ball) but the compact 20v drill is a really nice comfortable, powerful tool. My Hitachi is still sweet though! I have to admit, I swore up and down that makita had the most comfortable grip (even over Milwaukee) but the Dewalt has definetly taken the lead position there. Pluse the RPM's are pretty good on that drill. The impact is nice but I love my Fuel impact.
  2. Thanks Guys! Im king of the world! Actually I am pig bottom but I got a new Impact Driver!!!!!!! And your darn right Conductor! I am moving up while still staying at the same elevation but darn it, I am gonna have walls! (If my Wife let's me)
  3. 12v is wicked nice! I LOVE my Milwaukee M12 stuff though! I tried the Dewalt 12v Max and although I like the tools, I already bought in to the M12 line and cannot see trying to switch lines when there is so much choice in the M12 line. I will say that the 12v Max has BY FAR the most comfortable grips. I really enjoy the grip when the XC battery is in my tool, the grip is obviously the same but the battery pack on the bottom of my hand seems to make the tool (to me) more comfortable in hand. I tried the impact gun in the 12v Max line and really do love the tool but...
  4. Hey Chase, I am not sure if you want cordless or no. If yes, obviously go cordless with your 20v system. I will say I use a Milwaukee M18 cordless circular and absolutely love it. I also have (keeping in mind I am a lefty - why am I treated so different?) a Makita Magnesium (lighter weight) Hypoid Circular Saw. It comes with a rafter hook and a six foot cord. This 7-1/4" circular saw will cut through Cadillacs. I could carve an entry way into granite. I could cut my house in half. I could... Seriously WICKED AWESOME POWER! I am fond of and use my cordless saw but there are times when you need a corded saw. Bosch makes a really solid saw as does Milwaukee. Ridgid has a phenomenal circular saw in two sizes (7-1/4" and 6-1/2"). If you shop on CPO (Milwaukee, Bosch, Makita etc.) you can get a reconditioned saw for well under $100. I have used CPO and everything I have bought has either been in new or nearly new condition and they are very quick about shipping. Having the cordless is great for sheet work and will certainly cut through 2x material but there is no replacing a good quality corded saw. Good Luck!
  5. I think I have the perfect job for this too... I want to frame in my work shop. Instead of it just being in a dark, dank, post war Cape basement, it will be in a dark, dank post war Cape basement WITH WALLS!!!!!!
  6. Thanks Conductor! Eric just responded to me! HOLY CRAPOLA!!!!! This is freakin' Awesome! Thanks for the help!
  7. Wouldnt it be nice if they would sell rights to the cordless tools to Metabo? Id love to have a cordless tool NOT made in China!
  8. Awesome! How do I claim it? I just went to YouTube and could not find the video.
  9. Thanks DDR99. I sent Eric an email but where did you see this at?
  10. You know, I ended up buying several l-boxx' and with store bought foam they are great for all of my M12 tools. I wouldn't hesitate a minute to buy those l-boxx 1 & 1a storage boxes! It is too bad Milaukee's radio has POOR reception not to mention the inability to charge. I sold mine and bought the power box. But like you guys, I am a Milwaukee man. With the exception of my brushless Hitachi hammer, all of my cordless tools are now Milwaukee (too bad they're made in China but I don't know of ANY American made cordless tools).
  11. Milwaukee = Dewalt = Just kidding, after Wayne Burgess' comments on that planer they must make some decent stuff but...Milwaukee is for me too!
  12. No adapter for dremel is needed. It operates in the same fashion with the same collet. My Dad bought me the 7.2v Dremel when my Wife and I bought our house 12 years ago. That freak in' Dremel still works! The battery (NiCad) still holds a charge! The Milwaukee by Far blows the Dremel away in my opinion but my Lil' Dremel still kicks along! I use the Dremel as a shining tool for all my brass wear on my uniform (and that is it) and my Milwaukee for the heavy stuff.
  13. And you're going to love it too! The tools is phenomenal!
  14. Sweeeeeet! I have to admit, I tried the X4 stuff out and I would have NO problem using those tools professionally if I were a pro. But being avid and using my tools as they are I think I am qualified enough to form an opinion. My first Ridgid drill...nice drill, batteries - ehhh. The new X4 very solid. Would I sell my Hitachi and Milwaukee to switch now...no. I love what I have. But if I had re-bought into the line I know I would be happy. Put a 4.0 on it? All smiles!
  15. I am kind of curious what the new X6 line is going to be. I read that that X5 trademark was taken so they ear marked X6 maybe brush less? The tools are really great, plenty of power so improvement is going to be hard.
  16. Good for you Oz. Really when you buy a tool you are paying for batteries. Ridgid has really come along and don't forget they make Milwaukee too (actually Ridgids owners TTI makes them).
  17. Yeah my freak in' tablet does that all the time ie. Dealt = dewalt
  18. Im with Wayne, the Rockwell 3rill is the one for you. Ive used the Hitachi 18v Brushless Impact that has four settings so you can nearly disable the impact mode but it is still there.
  19. I think my award winning smile doesnt work like it used to Although some guy at the coffee shop like it so much he commented on it and my wife laughed!!! I got a little bit scared !
  20. Amen to that! MAKITA!!!! READ TOOL SITES. YOUR CUSTOMERS ARE CONCERNED THAT YOU HAVE TURNED YOUR HEAD INTO AN OBJECT USED FOR PROSTATE EXAMS!!!!!!!!!
  21. Hi Cropsey, Does the charger charge your other batteries okay? If not, charger is 10-2 Get a new one. Otherwise, try the battery in question out and drain it right down. You can tape your trigger in the on position or just get a paddle bit and started making holes! Once the battery is dead, throw it on the charger and let it set overnight. Is this a new battery? If so, Milwaukee has one of the BEST warranties out there! Go to Milwaukee's site. Check out the warranty section. If you dont have a receipt dont worry, they go by the date stamp on the battery. Milwaukee pays for shipping, just print a label off of the site and God willing you will have a new battery within a week. Good Luck!
  22. I hear you there Conductor, I really want to build one but for the cash, the table is really large and the adjustable plate works pretty slick.
  23. Well...I was going to buy the table with the 1.5hp router included, the small table. Then I went to HD and they non longer carry that one so I bought the large MDF Ryobi table with the metal legs. Its actually a nice table. The fence is sturdy and the nuts hold it fast. It comes with everything I needed, I would have preferred the Bosch but I got so many discounts for the table at HD I was able to order (new through CPO) the Porter Cable 1.5 HP router with fixed base. I am putting that in the table mount and putting my plunge base back on my Milwaukee! I have to admit, for a beginner router table and that I have never routed before, I am really pleased with the set up. I mounted the table to a 3/4" plywood base with lag bolts so I can keep it on one of my work tables or bring it with me and still have a stable base.
  24. I have the Ryobi table. It was pretty cheap but is really big and pretty solid. Good luck!
  25. Chinos? Seriously? I bet their Prius driving "Designer" came up with that one!!!!!
