  1. Todd, where did you get it and how do you deal with Euro electrical as opposed to US standards? The Bosch is a phenomenal machine and uses a re branded Mafell rail. I love my Festool, it's a beautiful machine but the Bosch is also quite wonderful.
  2. Thanks so much bro, could not be a better gift ever.
  3. Thanks Mike, I truly appreciate that it has been a pretty rough few weeks and though we are freaking out right now we are also both really hopeful he can come home and they moved his sweat test to today after I left to go home and get some of his nursery stuff taken care of! I'm heading back up there in a few and hopefully he had enough of a sample to test
  4. I used to love the 985 and still do t switching to the 996 was great for me. The functionality has not made a difference to me and the worklamp is fantastic. Totally understand your reasoning for not getting into the 60v lineup, to each his own. I have found the batteries are killing it in my 20v tools but truthfully the only 60v tool I have is the cord saw and it is nice. Really nice. But, I can see why you have trepidation towards adding that lineup, they have several and after ending the 24v that was a a real killer but they have been devout in keeping their 18v line running for the 18v crowd so I am not to worried about another lineup. Heck, Milwaukee did the same thing not that long ago. But red, yellow, teal, green, great and white, fluorescent green....they are all good. Now blue and green.....that's a different story.
  5. So got some pretty cool news today. They are looking at transporting Will to Dover NH and their CCN because he is doing so well up here in Portland Maine. Our nurse said she believes Will will be home before Christmas. This transport might happen Wednesday, they wanted to do it this morning but we said no because we have a really important test for him to take scheduled Wednesday. So if they still have a bed at Wentworth Douglas Hospital we will take the test, hopefully get a good sample and a good result (insert many prayers here) and then get a ride in their special transportation ambulance in the afternoon and a hospital that is only 25 minutes from my door yard as opposed to an hour and a half. Plus the ability to go home and be with family.
  6. Dude I'm not sure about philosophical....I think I just sprouted a tree
  7. Wow. I have vise envy. Never thought I'd say that1
  8. Truthfully I've never used anything less than the 3.0s and never had an issue and then changed my batteries over to 4.0s and 5.0s. I sold my 20v saw when I got my 60v from @SevenOddosFence not out of frustration but out of the want to eventually buy then 120v miter. But using sub compacts on my saw j never experienced.
  9. Also to be clear, I currently own the 60v circular plus a couple of batteries. I was using the batteries a few weeks ago in my 20v hedge trimmer. Friggin awesome. And that saw is fantastic, I wish it had a rafter hook but that is easily remedied with some wood work and a zip tie if you need too.
  10. Probably for the same reason of not wanting to buy another battery lineup. Then nice thing with Flexvolt is you can use their batteries to power up your 20v tools but not the other way around. Personally I would wait and make do with the 6-1/2 until the 20v comes out or just buy the 60v saw. It's awesome. The Dewalt 20v Circ is an awesome machine too but it might be a long wait and buying another lineup is always a pain in the butt. To be honest though, I've had the Dewalt 20v circular saw and it blew the brushed Milwaukee and Makita saws (yeah I owned those too) out of the water. I cannot speak for the brushless models but it was the bees knees for brushed saws. But if I had to guess, that's why he might not want to get the other lineup too, he's got a diaper load of 20v batteries already and doesn't want more!
  11. Welcome to the forums dude!
  12. Hmmmm. I guess that's why I bought a Sawstop.
  13. I still believe in unicorns so they might.
  14. Great. Now I need another Kapex.
  15. I agree with @wildroamer my Bosch M12 tools are really quite wonderful. Super compact and a great lineup, second only to Milwaukee in lineup but I prefer Bosch 12v over Milwaukee M12 tools. Having said that I use my tools in a wood shop and not in the field so having a super specialized range of tools is not as important to me but Bosch has a very large lineup.
  16. I love my 500 but kind of wish I got the 700 though.....it would really be only for the building of a barn I am planning on building for my wife. The 500 does about 90% for me. Seneca makes a cool kit for the 700 which would allow you to use 500 parts on the 700.
  17. Amazing. Wonderful work dude. What were you using as a tool?
  18. I completely hear you dude. If Dewalt would release their darn 20v bradder I'd be all set! I'd have my framer, finisher and brad all taken care of. I have to admit it though, having that Grex is a real treat though.
  19. Thanks Buddy, I appreciate that!
  20. Yeah saw that. However not the reason for not getting it, I'm very happy with that Rolair and truthfully my compressor is only used for the pinner and maybe that Cadex bradder. My next air like tool is going to be an Earlex or Fuji HVLP.
  21. http://www.grizzly.com/workshopplanner I had no idea this was on their site but viola! Unfortunately, I cannot use it on my iPad but maybe some of you can
