  1. I don't know what else I'd add. I don't like DeWalt, I can't see me getting into 12v Makita, and the 18v Bosch isn't very compelling over the M18 and LXT stuff I have now. I don't like the D-handle Festool stuff... my mitts are to wide. Can't see getting into the other Eurotrash stuff. Well, maybe the IR IQ20v stuff might be cool...
  2. Well, when storage begins to become a problem... LOL
  3. Nice video, man. If they bring this to NA (and a BL 3/8" impact wrench) I'm making the leap to Bosch 12v. WTH, it's not like three battery platforms is much different than four, right? LOL
  4. I have a 5" Fein, but I want to get a Metabo 4.5" or two. Hmmm, a 4" Makita, a 4.5" DeWalt, a 4.5" Bosch, and a 5" Fein. I'm beginning to think I may have a grinder problem...
  5. Never saw any here. I'm still pissed they dumped Knipex.
  6. Shit, dude, I'm gonna be late for work... I got caught up in your tool setup and lost track of time...
  7. One of these days I'm gonna buy me some angle wrenches. I currently have no earthly need for them, but I want them. Probably need to start haunting ebay looking for some gently used Snap Ons....
  8. You guys are banging on Harbor Freight, but both cases were clearly misuse bordering on abuse. 200ft/lbs and a 3/8" drive tool? There's a reason why you will never see a 3/8" drive torque wrench with a working range that high. That's why they make 1/2" drive sockets. A skidsteer? Yikes! I understand that ya gotta use what tools you have available, and the kid makes it clear he knew he caused the failures.
  9. Gotta up my game in the 1/2 and 3/4" sizes...
  10. They'd get me! I'd totally pick up duplicates (of M12 Fuel stuff at least) if they came in something like Snappy's Extreme Green or purple...
  11. The German tool catalog I have downloaded (Hazet) calls them 6.3mm, 10mm, and 12.5mm. Which is, of course, 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2". LOL Good videos as usual, Dwain, at least the only one I've watched so far, the ratchet. I'll get to the others after some garage clean up time. One question, though. In Europe, it seems like most mechanics/techs skip over 3/8" drive tools and use mostly 1/4" and 1/2", where in the US 3/8" is by far the most popular. How is it in OZ?
  12. Well, yeah, there is that. I was dating an older woman (in her '20s! LOL) and she did nice (and nasty) things when I bought her lingerie...
  13. Nice! I want to get up that way duck hunting one of these years...
  14. Okay, where in Central Warshington? I was born in the sprawling metropolis of Ephrata, WA, population ~7000. Spent a bunch of time on my cousin's wheat farm outside of Pomeroy. Spent a fair amount of time in Walla Walla (admittedly, I don't remember much because I was pretty drunk most of the time). Spent a lot of time in Clarkston with my great aunt Eulah. Hung out at Lake Chelan a fair amount. Cool setup, man. When I was 18 most of my money went to gas, guns, and beer.
  15. Actually, now that I think about it, despite having at least one tube of Superlube around here, I use the Hot Sauce for everything. I found an old Snap On ratchet (I think 30 tooth, but may be 36) that wasn't working. I just squirted some Hot Sauce in whatever cracks and openings I could find, not even bothering to open it up and clean it, and worked it around a little bit, and now it's pretty smooth.
  16. Harbor Freight has it, though for the fine tooth rats I would want to use a lighter weight oil. I use Quantum Hot Sauce reel oil in my 60+ tooth ratchets.
  17. Are those Grip-On locking pliers in the middle?
  18. I have no earthly need for any more ratchets (except for maybe 3/4" drive) but I sure want to pick up a set or two of the Facom-design models...
  19. I need to get some dead blow ball peins from Trusty Cook.....
  20. Not necessarily my favorite, but most used... http://www.estwing.com/s_drilling_hammer_long_handle.php A guy I used to work with called my 3# version of this my Keebler (like the elf cookie bakers) hammer http://www.estwing.com/s_drilling_hammer.php 30 oz. milled face... I drove about 10,000 60d nails one summer with one (staking curb, mostly, but some sewer and some water lines) http://www.estwing.com/nh_framing_hammer.php
  21. So you can't just turn the chrome ring one way or another (on the black models) to change directions?
  22. I have the M18 Fuel 3/8" version of that, similar stats. I have no problem getting the lugs off of my Expedition, my CJ7, or my F150 when I had it. But then neither does my M12.... On note: I'm pretty anal-retentive about keeping brake dust off the back of my wheels, so they get removed pretty frequently, and the lug threads get lubed fairly frequently. I torque my lugs to 115 ft-lbs.
  23. Looks like something as Sears during father's day...
