  1. Okay, my unruly punk inner child is escaping... "the drapes match the tile floor..." Bad Kurt! Bad Kurt! <slapping the back of my hand>
  2. Just looking a little more, I saw an article a year-and-a-half ago on toolguyd. Thought it seemed familiar.
  3. I do not need another battery platform. I do not need another battery platform. I do not need another battery platform. Uh oh... This is one tool that could make me deviate from Team Red.
  4. Just joshin' a little bit. You know, men only recognize red, green, blue, yellow, purple, brown, white and black. And grunt when we eat. And only cook over open flame. The only way you should know what color teal is, you were an NBA executive in the '90s designing new uniforms. Yeah, my humor is a little dry sometimes.
  5. Dude, when you start getting that specific about colors, you might be risking the Man Card... LOL Don't even bring up moave...
  6. Yeah, I have a Snap On and a Matco on my desk. Snap On's site went way down hill after a fairly recent redesign, but Matco's is horrible. Unless you already have an item number, good luck finding anything...
  7. I might be able to get an M18 2797-22 combo out of the deal...
  8. One thing I can guarantee... if I bought the non-Fuel, they would update it the next week...
  9. Nice try, but if the carpet doesn't come up, it might be a hard sell for a new saw to replace boards that were never exposed. For what a TS55 costs, she could buy herself some Christian Louboutin CFM pumps. Almost. Hard to say if I would enjoy the tracksaw or watching her walk in ridiculously expensive shoes more... Particularly if she's, uh, footing the bill... (sorry for the pun)
  10. I had a Toyota a long time ago... It was an '88, I beat the crap out of that thing. The only real problems it had (other than people running into it) was it would eat a battery about every 60,000 miles, and a starter every 90,000. I'd like a Tundra, but with a long legged five year old in a booster seat, I need the crew cab (whatever the heck they call it) but you have to take the ridiculously short box with it. My current F150 has the 5.5' bed... A real pain when you want to haul something. I'm pretty sure my next truck will be an F350 Crew Cab longbed... The GF likes camping but refuses to sleep on the ground any more, so that means some sort of camper/RV, and I want to be able to tow a boat. So slide in camper it will be. And gotta be able to haul my son and her daughter and youngest son with us. Her kids are pretty little, but I'm betting mine's gonna be a monster like his daddy.
  11. There goes the excuse for the tracksaw, though.
  12. Thanks, fellas. The upper floor is worse, but they both squeak.
  13. So the GF has a two story house, maybe 10 years old, with squeaky floors. It's bad enough when her 14 year old, 4'11", 100 lb. athlete daughter walks across them, but when my 330 lb.-ish, former offensive lineman butt limps across, it's really bad.... She already wants to install new carpets, so that's a help, but what else is involved in stopping the squeaking? And yes, I do view this as an opportunity to buy new tools... Track saw, anyone? Maybe M18 impact driver? LOL
  14. Nah, I'm used to looking at Snap On prices, so Mac wasn't really a big deal. One day I WILL have a Snappy KRSC...
  15. I was going to look for a Mac tool cart, but their website may be even worse than Snap On's new site or even Matco's...
  16. A slider is on my list... Thinking I will probably get the Bosch, but the DeWalt is in the running. Milwaukees are like hen's teeth around here... I wish I could justify a Festool, but I just can't...
  17. Lots of lube keeps Dan's hands soft.... Classic!
  18. I did a month in Borrego Springs in August/September, I know what it's like. There was a bad ass camera store in town, I hope it's still there...
  19. As a 6'6" tall, 330 pound guy, not really. And as a die-hard Ford guy, hell no! Though competition always improves the product...
  20. Man, I was really trying to keep my inner hoodlum kid in check, but I like supporting boobies... LOL
  21. I have a vague idea of what that would cost in Oregon, but I bet it would be at least double, and the permitting much harder, in Palm Springs. Gotta make sure you are not harming the spotted gecko! I think I'm going to be heading to Palm Springs within the year for a friend's wedding. We'll have to grab a coffee...
  22. If somebody, say, Snap On, would do pink comfort grip ratchets, I'd spring for one or six...
  23. Oh, man, I need the Blues Brothers plate... maybe the Cheech and Chong as well...
