For me, I would get 10" > 7" > 12" But I don't think you could really go wrong with any of them...

I'm curious if a hard hat would have saved him. I was working around power transmission towers, and I figured that if one of the linemen dropped one of those 1-1/4" bolts from 180' it wouldn't matter much. Dunno.

I think I have six 2.0 ah M12 batteries and one 4.0. I sure would like one or two more of the 4.0s, but I'm not sure I can really justify it.

Saturdays and Sundays I generally drink about a pot. If I worked inside I would drink a lot more, but between finding someplace to pee out in the field, and just not having convienient access, I only drink three or four cups a day during the week.

I've given up trying to post photos from my iPad or iPhone, I'll just use a regular computer.

Sorry, doesn't do much for me, not nearly enough coffee! When they make a 20 cup version, gimme a call...

Yeah, John, the Fein Multimaster is what I'll likely end up with. It will be total overkill for personal use, but I kinda like German tools, so a little extra dough won't bother me that much. Also plan to get an M12 cordless, if they ever come out with a Fuel version. Pumpkins beware! LOL

Been thinking about this just a little... I'm starting to think that both the Fein and the Festool have capibilities so far advance from what I need and/or make use of, that either would be way overkill. But then, I like overkill.

I hope so, Mike. Nolan's got a pretty good start with his tool box. Doesn't every five year old need Knipex lineman's pliers and a set of Cobras? (but buying stuff is getting expensive when bought in multiples of twos!)

I may not have been giving Halloween a proper chance... I was hacking away at my son's pumpkin with a knife when a lightbulb went on... Why hack with a knife when I can Hackzall? Pulled out the old 2420 and the M12 right angle drill and went to town.

I think I might end up with one of the Bosch barrel handle style jigsaws before too long... just a matter of which one... I'd love a Festool, but I can't imagine I could justify the expense (though I haven't even looked to see how much) for as little as I would use it.

Heck, I have six spare pocket tapes (two 12' and four 25') tapes in my work duffle bag! LOL My needs for a pocket tape are a little different... I need one that's marked with an engineers scale (ie feet/tenths/hundredths) rather than fractions. A little harder to find outside of survey supply stores. HD used to carry my favorite (senior moment, I can't remember the brand) but dropped it a couple of years ago.

I think the Bosch 12v brushless is cool stuff, and if I was starting over, I might think about it, but I'm pretty heavily invested in my 12v Fuel stuff, so I guess I'll just play with the Bosch toys when I get to Lowes...
