  1. Travis, do you like the plate for the memories they represent, or do you mostly just like the plates for what they are? I have an Orygun plate I could send you if you're interested...
  2. Yeah, and the tool's weight and balance start to fight you... But those 5ah batteries would be pretty badass on the big Milwaukee high torque impact... <making grunting noises>
  3. Which one? He had four of 'em.
  4. In the case of the Milwaukie locking pliers, they are so much better than Irwins I'm amazed. Plus, made in Taiwan, versus the PRC.
  5. Congrats, Chris! (trying to stifle the 'Sucker!' I really want to spit out...)
  6. I think I may have just crapped myself... There's a reason why I haven't 'liked' Festool's page.... Fein is bad enough...
  7. Like everybody else has said, sweet locker!
  8. Batteries are like rifles.... I just need one more...
  9. Yeah, man, +1! I've pretty much given up on ever finding anything good at garage sales. Nice find!
  10. Well, we'll see how it shakes out. I may end up buying a Rolair anyway, and maybe a second, bigger compressor for the GF's garage (if here's son's girlfriend ever gets her crap out). Still pretty up in the air right now.
  11. Lemme tell you, tall guys and DeLoreans don't mix. When I was in HS, I decided to test fit one of them. I sit inside, leg room is a little tight. So I decide to pull the gull-wing door down, big mistake. I think I concussed myself, and I probably would have been 6'8" instead of 6'6" like I am now without the neck damage....
  12. Honestly, this would be a borderline impulse buy, and realistically, I'm not sure the compressor would be up to other tasks I would ask of it.... Powering an impact wrench, air ratchet, cut off tool, die grinder...
  13. http://www.lowes.com/pd_498816-355-BTFP72646_4294795218__?productId=50041602&Ns=p_product_qty_sales_dollar|1&pl=1&currentURL=%3FNs%3Dp_product_qty_sales_dollar%7C1&facetInfo= What do ya'll think of this? A good deal, or a bunch of crap packaged together? I don't know much about pancake compressors, and maybe less about nailers, so I'm looking for a little guidance. Possible uses: replacing trim at the GF's house, rebuilding her deck, possibly assembling/making furniture... I was originally intending (dreaming) about a Rolair JC10 compressor and Senco or Bostich pin and brad nailers, but I seem to have a budgeting problem. I occasionally see these kits on sale for a pretty cheap price, but I never felt confident pulling the trigger on it... sorry for the pun.
  14. So I work in the field of surveying... Surveying in the field, LOL. As you might imagine, things can be a little seasonal, slowing down (usually) beginning about October until about March or April. And true to form, this week so far I have a total of five hours after Tuesday. The last couple of years, with the economy sputtering through fits and starts, I've bounced around a bit from company to company as work loads have grown and shrunk. I had a six month contract with one of the larger municipalities around here that managed to stretch into almost eight, and this morning, as I was driving home from my brutal two hour work day (heavy irony) I got a call from my old boss, asking if I was busy for the next couple of months. Apparently I made a good impression on them. He even said that if my current employer need me for something big, they'd have no problem giving me the time away. Couldn't be better timed... the heater core in my truck just took a dump, my Jeep's carb is acting up in ways that I'm not smart enough to figure out, and the GF is letting me drive her Expedition and I'm finding all sorts of maintenance issues with it (seriously? 10k miles overdue for an oil change? That was some nasty stuff I drained out...). More pay, consistent hours, kick ass health insurance, shorter drive to work (and won't have to get up a 4:00 every morning, I can sleep in 'till 5:00, woohoo!), working in the direction of the GF's house instead of away, so maybe I can see her more than once every two weeks. Won't have ridiculously long shifts on the days I'm supposed to get to see my kid... I'm pretty stoked... Sorry, just had to share.
  15. Check for coupons, I think those are normally available for $699.
  16. Those would be great deals, if I didn't already have both of them. Sure would love to have more 4ah batteries, though.
  17. Man, I'm not sure I need tools that bad. Not that there's anything wrong with that...
  18. If I don't get a 3x, I'm gonna buy a medium and start posting pics. Trust me, you guys don't want to see a hairy fat guy in a crop top... LOL
  19. I'm putting off buying the non-Fuel version in hopes of an updated one... Since I also plan on buying a Fein corded OMT, I guess I shouldn't worry that much about the brushless benefits...
  20. Wish they had the quiet version on sale...

    My M12 kit

NER, Travis, thanks! One more for the list!

    My M12 kit

Looks good, man. One question: do you find the the screwdriver is kind of redundant with the impact driver, or do you use both enough to justify the extra money. I'm kind of working myself up to a Fuel screwdriver...
