    Makita drill deal?

I don't really have a good reason why, but I don't really like most DeWalt products. I DO love my yellow angle grinder, though...
  2. Actually, I have a pair of the (free! w/ coupon) HF scissors that work very well on Milwaukee clamshell packaging.
  3. Not to mention you get to be part of their slightly awkward interviews... Kidding. I love that show, Boston accents and all.

    Makita drill deal?

Well, I hate myself for getting another platform...
  5. Just as an aside, the sight of my fatassed 6'6" frame trying to fit under the dash of a tiny little Volvo S40 must have been noteworthy... not to mention I can't see crap up close any more...
  6. Then, I had to do a little work on the GF's Volvo. And of course, my tools were all across town. I needed a T25 Torx at 5:00 on a Sunday, so I ended up buying a couple of Milwaukee drivers and some Torx bits. One of them is my first ratcheting screwdriver. And some trim removal tools from HF. More Team Red love: Team Blue love: I really need to stop just wandering around Lowes. Impulse buys kill me. More Team Green love: A word of warning: a set of 3/8" impacts with free 1/4" impacts for $20 seems like a good deal, but WhoTF decided it was a good idea to skip putting size markings on them? A little HF love: With some older buys: Some pliers: Channellock oil filter pliers and Craftsman/WF duckbills.
  7. So I might have gone a little nuts... I had a thread in the Makita section about a cheap 18 volt drill... well, I hate myself for getting into another charging system, but... Of course, right after I bought it, a friend returned the M18 that I kinda-sorta forgot about... Just what I need, two cheap 18v drills. At least the green one is a hammerdrill... But that allowed me to buy this: Love me some Fuel.... 2654-20 3/8" impact wrench. Thought I was grabbing a 1/2". Oops, I guess I'll need to but another tool. Dang.
  8. Yeah, man, I'm gonna catch you any day now! LOL The high-five I've been doing with my kid lately: <bumping knuckles> Potato! <extending fingers and wiggling them> Fries!
  9. Must..... have.... Though I will admit to not liking handles on my coffee cups, at least travel mugs. Where'd ya get it?
  10. I watch it. I like it. I wish I had his budget for renos. I do find myself checking out the tools being used more that what they are doing, though...
  11. True, Chris, what more could a lady possibly want? LOL I gotta give my GF something special, she has to put up with me... New toolbox? Miter saw? Drill press?

    Landscape

Yeah, any new landscaping here would have blown away yesterday.

    Landscape

I dunno what the soil is like there, but when my dad was landscaping the house I grew up in, on one section of the lawn (kind of a side yard) he hauled in a bunch of horse manure and tilled that in, and that one section of lawn was still significantly more green than the rest of the grass two decades later.

    A table that glows

Cool, but I wonder how in the heck you find cheeky Cypress in the PNW?
  15. That would be cool, but I'd probably start talking funny...
  16. Great, something else I didn't know I couldn't live without! LOL
  17. If you guys make it to Portlandia around Christmastime, you have to find a McMennamins and try a Kris Kringle or eight. Dang tasty. In fact, look me up. I'll buy the first four... http://www.mcmenamins.com/1480-mcmenamins-breweries-kris-kringle
  18. The aluminum jacks are kinda cool, but the light weight is really of no benefit to how I use them. I needed the extra lifting capacity and $100 in my pocket more than portability.
  19. Found it: http://toolguyd.com/makita-18v-oil-pulse-impact-driver/
  20. I think Stuey/Toolguyd had a post on this a while ago.
