  1. Dewalts 12v line isn't compact enough vs the 20v line. The reason I went Bosch for my 12v tools was how compact they were. My buddy has the Dewalt 12v drill and it is smaller than the 20v but not by a lot and it just feels cheap to me. If Dewalt wants to sell more of those tools they should re-design a bit. I do like that the same charger does both battery sizes.
  2. I think you can choose a different address to have it delivered to.
  3. Lmao! Oh that's a for sure. Might need a stiff drink to calm the nerves a bit too!
  4. Oh man this is really tempting! I have been wanting to add a laser tape for awhile. I just can't decide if this is more than I need.
  5. Ahhh! I hate that. Do you have a MyChoice account Chris? It will let you re-route the package or tell the center to hold it for you. It is free for residential customers.
  6. Careful Chris. Once you go down the NAINA road it's hard to stop...lol! Congrats!
  7. Hey that's my truck...I wondered where it went..lol! Sweet setup for sure!
  8. I watched some of the live stream. Definitely looked like an interesting event! I would love to go once.
  9. I like the looks and concept. Compact and still powerful enough for a track saw. I only have one Midi so this would be a great second vac.
  10. It is available for pre-order in the UK now. Sadly only 220v right now. Lets hope for a 110v version and a US release!
  11. I like the leg setup you did!! I may have to copy that somehow. It is the one thing I don't like about my setup is I use roller stands for the support. It is just one more thing to bring and they are bulky.
  12. I don't enjoy the Lowes tool world anymore. They definitely don't market pro quality tools anymore. We have a Menards and I do like them for what they are. They have a great selection of blades and bits. A lot of Bosch and OMT Orange stuff.
  13. I am a bit surprised at the price point. I know they have a ton of R&D to pay for but it would seem you would want to beat the SawStop out of the gate...but I guess it is just MSRP so it could sell for lower.
  14. Looks like a great jobsite saw. Probably a good option if multiple skill level people would be using the saw.
  15. Scored a new Bosch Brushless hammerdrill!
  16. This is a huge win for Bosch. I hope Sawstop feels the competition breathing down their necks. I haven't like their lobbying for the Sawstop to be required on all saws. It should still be a choice. Nice to another other option coming out.
  17. Lol..not sure about Mr. Exclusive. Just paid a premium to get a tool I wanted. It would be nice to have a quick change base with the saw.
  18. I would love to go to one of these! Definitely gonna be a good time with new tools. There is some talk of one more west sometime. If they did one close enough I would go.
  19. I have been posting a bit lately and thought I should do the proper intro. I found the TIA forum when it merged with Dewalt Owners Group. I have been a fan of TIA YouTube videos for awhile. Some of you might recognize my screen name. I am active on CT, BTP, and a bit on the FOG. My name is Andrew. I grew up in construction with my Dad. He would hand me a pile of 8's and tell me to nail off the subfloor. Also was on broom duty...lol! I started professionally in remodeling in 1995. I did mostly roofing, siding, and windows for the company I worked for. We also did some additions and a little bit of new construction. In 2001 I went into buisness with 2 others. We did mostly new construction in the beginning. It is now just myself and 1 other partner. We have found a good balance in business and do 50% remodeling and 50% new. It varies a bit but that is pretty close. I love tools and finding better ways of doing things. I can't think of anything else I want to do to earn my living. I hope to contribute here and learn from everyone too!
  20. Since Chris mentioned his Carvex in thus thread I am going to muddy things and say I bought the Bosch 12v from overseas last year (couldn't wait for a US release). It has been a nice little jigsaw. Perfect for coping and small cuts. Bought a Collins foot for it.
  21. Not really a new toy but rather an old toy repaired. Our cage for our forkilt needed the rails re-done. I picked it up from the welder yesterday and am priming and painting it.
