  1. Those drill bits look amazing. Great score Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I picked up a pair of the same pliers the other day. Like all other blue handled Channel locks, they are made in the USA but I don't know if someone else makes them for both craftsman and channel lock or if CL makes them for craftsman. It's there a way to tell? As far as how they work, I'm a complete nub, but they did a great job with everything that I've thrown at them. Very solid with no slipping. The internal/external switch is quite nice as well.
  3. Welcome ttyl the crew! Whereabouts in New Mexico do you live? I lived in the desert for about ten years, myself and my brother still lives on SF. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I ran across this today in my wanderings. It's made by Mafell, a German company and is was designed as a safety feature. Personally, I don't know anyone that has had an accident with a track saw, but I guess it could happen. The coolness factor, however, has Festool beat, hands down. Here's a link to a YouTube video of the beast in action and a couple more pictures.
  5. That's awesome Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Maybe Milwaukee is going big into all nailers, both cordless and pneumatic and they're counting on their name to convince people to break with tradition. I do suspect though that they'll get one and only one shot at getting these right. If these have any problems at all, even anecdotal, they'll get a rep for being unreliable and we'll see the entire line on clearance sooner rather than later.
  7. I wonder when all of the new pliers will show up in-store.
  8. Damn. That's the most ridiculous and coolest thing I've seen in a while. I never would have tried using my 2704 on 1/2" lags but now I've got to go and check it out! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Home Depot

Sometimes yes but it has to be a pre printed coupon. As to whether you clear it before shopping, that's up to you. Chances are if you do, you probably have a better chance of getting turned down than if you roll up with a cart full of goods and are ready to pay. Then again, if you're not going to buy anything without the coupon, you waste your time shopping, someone had to put it all back and you feel a little bit like a reject if you get rejected at the register. Trying to get a competitors coupon honoured isn't for the faint of heart. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. If I'm being honest, I probably don't actually need a brushless multitool either but I was thinking a Fuel redesign was going to be there only way we get an updated design. The current M18 has a handle that's so large around, it's borderline hard for me to hold with one hand. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. What would you print that people would pay for? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Because I'm a sucker for tools that are made in the USA by small companies trying to do something different. The fact that it matches my Kleins is icing on the cake!
  13. I'd love to get my hands on one of those D-TECT's to see how it works but $250 is a lot of money to spend if all it ends up able to do is tell me what my franklin already tells me.

    Home Depot

http://www.homedepot.com/p/Bosch-7-Amp-Corded-Barrel-Grip-Jig-Saw-JS470EB/202691139 143 for a barrel grip jigsaw seems pretty cheap (it takes $20 off in your cart) I wish my depot still had those on clearance. I'm pretty sure they're long since gone from every depot around these parts. Think you could stuff one into a USPS flat rate box?
  15. I'd be all in for a Fuel OMT and the fabled M18 miter saw. A new M18 jigsaw would also float my boat so I don't have to buy the barrel grip one from the UK. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. There's a Home Depot in Philadelphia that I visited when I was up there that had just about the biggest selection of Milwaukee power tools I've ever seen. They had the full selection of rotary hammers, all of the bits and blades, vacuums, every circular saw (10" and metal cutting to). Just about the only things that were missing were the big Propex tool and the pipe compression tools, but then again, those are so expensive, they likely don't stock them in too many places. It was impressive and I almost took a picture, but then I stopped myself because I felt like a country mouse come to the big city. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I love reading reviews where people complain about some horrible problem with a product that they claim ruins their entire life because the company is stupid and sold never have released such a piece of crap to begin with, only to read a little farther and find out that the reviewer is an idiot. I have a twisted sense of humor. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. My father used to have an old oil burning furnace in his house. That thing was so horribly inefficient that it would cost upwards of $1500 a month to heat the house in the winter. He ripped it out and replaced it with a gas furnace. I believe he's on track to pay back the cost of installation in around two years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. So I put all of them in the cart to visualize the damage.... damn, now I've got to find $1,400 to fuel my addiction (pun intended). Then again, my Ryobis work quite well for now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    M12 Jigsaw

I've been kicking myself for not jumping on one of these when HD had them on clearance for $60. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. It really looks like the grip on the 791 is a bit narrower than the 790. Is it actually narrower our was it just an artifact of the camera angle? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I can't imagine that the full retail prices are actually what anyone will ever pay. Ohio Power Tool also lists the 2704 with a "regular price" of $258 and we all know no one pays that.
  23. Absolutely certain. I wiped down the plate back with a white shop rag, so if it was there, I would have seen it. There was no o-ring. What would I need to get to replace it? I bought from the EBay link, so no one to go back to to say it was defective / missing a part.
  24. Mission Accomplished! I took it apart, wiped all of the existing oil out (there wasn't much), added some new oil around the pawl and a blob of grease under the gear and got it all back together. Best of all, it still works and there weren't any spare parts! One minor detail though, there was no O-ring, just the retaining ring and the plate. Thanks again for all the advice. I learned something new and wouldn't have done it without the crew.
  25. Another vote for Franklin, but for a smaller, cheaper solution, you can't beat the CH Hanson http://www.amazon.com/CH-Hanson-03040-Magnetic-Finder/dp/B000IKK0OI
