  1. That's hilarious! I would just hang it on the wall as a conversation starter.
  2. I have been using my Milwaukee tape for about 2 weeks now. I am in commercial construction so it gets abused pretty good. I have had no breakage issues with it. You may have gotten a bunk tape. Haven't seen one do that right out of the gate before. The only issue with mine is that the hook slips on the edge of metal studs pretty bad. That's a pretty big issue for me.
  3. Oh baby do that thing when you wheeze and try to catch your breath!
  4. Northern il here, 54ish and sunny today! Can't complain, but I fear there is something around the corner.
  5. That's pretty cool. I have been following Mark for years (not in the creepy old man on the city bus way) and have watched his shop go from small garage to Amazing. I enjoy his thinking on this new shift of tools and look forward to what he can turn out with the new lineup.
  6. I like the knife I currently have in my pocket. It's a Kershaw folder. My favorite gun At the moment is my Mossberg 930 waterfowl. (I'd rather be ducking right now). Looking to finally get my IL ccw permit sometime in the new year. That being said I will be looking for a better concealed carry other than my XD .40 I could go on about guns, and hunting forever.

It's like the Ken doll to my wife's Roomba.
  8. Dang, From the title of the post I thought this was a How To...my mistake. But seriously folks. I have seen several pictures from this type of situation. I am surprised more and more guys are not frying themselves trying to steal juice.
  9. Great Job Jimbo! That's a good way to get into the holiday spirit.
  10. I cannot say about the motors but...It is worth the extra money to save on the weight. After using it for some time you will notice it. When I have both models on site you can always tell which one you pull out of the gang box without seeing the color.
  11. That's gunna be some sweet mail in the box! Congrats!
  12. Awesome seeing younger guys learning the trades. Stick with it. Even if it does not end up being a career for you, the things you learn to do with your hands will be very beneficial to you.
  13. Great work Comp! It seems that you turn out a cool project every six hours or so.
  14. I'm with ChrisK, that's why I put my name in the signature. There are some people that like the anonymity.
  15. And why borrow when it's the perfect excuse to add one of whatever to your collection.
  16. I am a firm believer in the Skill Mag77. They are tried an true workhorses. Most of the guys I work with carry one in their trucks. Including myself. I think I had 5 skil worm drives the last time I checked.
  17. There are only a couple guys that I lend tools to. These are guys that break down their tile saws and clean the motors and pumps at the end of the job. They actually do oil changes on their worm drives, you get it. When we lend each other tools we get it back in better condition. If I borrow a saw for a job, it comes back to them with a new blade just as a thanks. Anyone outside of this circle is SOL.
  18. How did I miss this post?! Those are freaking sweet Chris! Not a bad deal for a full 3pc kit. I have not gotten into a 12v line really, other than my Milwaukee jacket. Looking to make the leap to cut down on weight when I don't really need an 18v all day.
  19. I just stayed in and ate leftovers. Nothing really caught my eye. Glad to see some guys made out pretty good. I'm diggin the gen 2 kit Santi!
  20. Who was running the Jet clamp deal. I was looking for it last night but could not remember. And nice haul on the new boxes! Pics please!
  21. Welcome Dave! Glad to have you here. Pictures of your renovation and projects are certainly welcome.
  22. Happy Thanksgiving to you and Yours Crew!
  23. I have used the Porter Cable power pole sander, it's sweet but about $500. I am interested to see how this one works for you. I do a lot or remodel work in active offices and this could be handy for keeping dust down.
  24. Same up my way Jimbo, lovin every bit of it!
