  1. Madman thanks again for the flip! I used a combination of countersunk lag bolts and 3" deck screws. It survived the "Hang/Swing" test and that's good enough for local code lol! Thank you Chris I look forward to seeing more pics of your progress. Maybe even borrow some ideas from you.
  2. Once again I apologize for the pictures being upside down. Still don't know what's going on
  3. We recently downsized to a smaller home with a 1 car garage. After gutting the house about 80% I am finally working on my garage. Now I can work on trim and other finishing projects without going crazy being unorganized. Still some work to be done but here is what I have thus far. Any tips, tricks and advise for maximizing small workshop space is appreciated.
  4. I am a foreman for Northwest Contractors. We do a lot of work with 134 guys, mainly Hartmann Electric. I have heard of your company while working in the joliet area (power plants)
  5. Thanks for your kindness. The ceiling was suspended from 2x8's spanning both rooms. Had to re-suspend the ceiling from the concrete deck remove all wood framing, build the soffit and put a lot of lipstick on it. On to the next one.
  6. Very nice work. I keep my k-cups in the cardboard box next to it haha
  7. If you have to dig out a nail with a catspaw it's easier to get at a full head, just my .02

  9. Thanks Chris! And thank you madman for the rotation. Trust me there were Dilberts around every corner lol.
  10. Over the years I have had a few. I now wear a mutt. It's half dewalt and half CLC. I'm a southpaw when it comes to grabbing my pencil so I need that on the left and my knife right. It works for now
  11. Good idea. I have one in my jacket pocket, took belt, every klien pouch, and one in each drill case.
  12. I have the older "blue" miter saw as well. It has not failed me in the 10 or so years I've had it. I have a Ryobi angle grinder I bought about 12 years ago. I use it on commercial sites all the time. I have seen guys with Metabo and dewalt grinders burn up but mine still keeps going, best $30 I ever spent.
  13. Punda, Your and IBEW 134 guy? What shop do you work for?

  18. Anyone have a link or instructions on how to attach pics to posts?
  19. Hard to hear about another hard working man getting injured. THOROGOOD boots all the way! Was a red wing man for years and bought thorogoods on a whim. They are my boot until I retire! I wish they had an insulated pair of safety toe in 8". I had to buy a pair of Cabelas saw 800. A great boot if your looking for warmth.
  20. I guess what I ment to say was so many topics within these forums I'm not going anywhere, you guys are stuck with me haha
