Paint stripper. There are several different kinds. Paint it on wait several hours and use a plastic putty knife to scrap/ wipe it off. Depending on the amount of paint it may take a couple applications. My wife and I just refinished two doors in our home from 1930 and this is the method we used. If you are interested I can dig up the name of the stripper we used...haha

It's a board stretcher they come in handy. But in all seriousness welcome to the forum and I am combing through Google to see what I dig up on this. Where did you get it, any info will help in the investigation.

I agree with the story NER! Mystery solved, and the bottles of fire water in the walls explain a lot of the messed up framing we found. Probly looked swell to someone seeing double vision!

Cool find comp. In the process of renovating our home we have found a royal crown cola bottle from the 30's a whiskey bottle from the same time, framing square, hammer, and a screw driver. I love the mystery and the questions that start coming to mind

I still use a hand drive impact with a #3 Phillips for removing old door hinges and hardware.

Awesome John! If it lasts that long I will be happy. I have burned through two hoses in the last 3-4 years and that's just doing trim and soffit/fascia work. I am going to get a hose reel so I can keep it off of the floor and try to keep it around for a while

I didn't even see the tekton hose when I was looking into hoses for weeks (takes me forever to pull the trigger on stuff) or I would have bought both and tested them out. I like that price point too.
