  1. That comparison video between the Skil worm, the Makita 18x2 rear handle, and this made me a believer, it was absolutely flying. I do feel like the extra weight of the Skil they might have used (mine is like 16lbs) may have increased the plate drag making it slower by default in comparison so maybe not as direct compared to the Makita but still impressive.
  2. Like I said the rep said something like 20% more power/cutting than the sidewinder, has to be something going on if they're using the same motor as rumored.
  3. Milwaukee has 2 versions, the rocket is 3,000Lum and has AC cord, did Dewalt match that?
  4. 3.5lbs more, but to me this is a bonus, nothing cuts like a worm drive, the feel in hand is fantastic for rips, just something about it and I think weight is a component. Not fun to lug around but drop that sucker down and walk with it without fear of binding or kickback... and hopefully they've replicated that here.
  5. Only thing I'm super stoked about is that saw, the light tower I haven't watched anything on yet but if it's not a arm and a dick I'll consider it seriously since Dewalt's light offerings suck ass. All the rest is great filler for trades or homeowners but as a carpenter/GC I'm not overwhelmed. Kind of surprised not to see some of the other rumored tools not there. Oh yea and a proper van rack was a great addition I didn't see coming so quickly, clearly Dewalt was listening to all of us bitching on that one. Good work team, lol.
  6. I believe it is the same motor and the RPM is the same, but they're claiming more power than last year's blade right Flexvolt, possibly through gearing via enhanced torque. I can't find the video I saw that on right now but if I do I'll post it.
  7. The only sidewinder I don't refuse to use are the cordless blade left saws. I've used worm drives for 11 years and I can't stand to hold a blade right saw. I'll walk across a football field to go get my own before I'll make a cut.
  8. Because I prefer blade left and I'm not left handed.
  9. 2 big years in a row? This is Dewalt we're talking about...I say it's a borderline bust this time around.
  10. Well it looks like I'll be moving up to Flex by Christmas. Was contemplating sticking with 20v since there's been so much support and overlapping tools but this one does it for me if the reviews give it as much love as the Flex 7 1/4" blade right, with the same motor you'd think it would be just as good if not better.
  11. You painted the table with something that's friction resistant I'm assuming, what did you use?
  12. That the good charger or the compact shit one?
  13. What did you use as a friction surface on the table?
  14. Here is all cap rock, or fossilized coral limestone. Some of it seems to be more wear and friction resistant than concrete. Excavators don't like it here much unless you happen to be digging in fill, you trench to dig or use drill rigs to set foundations for the most part. You see a lot of these around here:
  15. Perhaps in most places in the world, but you wouldn't be trying that here, lol.
  16. I love it, been using it just about every day for a variety of tasks. I'm throughly impressed personally and would definitely buy it again.
  17. And that's not even including Flex line. We're getting there. As for the light I can't even tell what I'm looking at, I see the tripod but what that is on top I have no idea.
  18. Interested in the stats of this compared to the latest offerings from the other boys.
  19. Credit card companies around the world rejoice.
