  1. ...so is this friggin' thing 20v or 60v?! I'm hearing both and I'm confused.
  2. I perfer impact when drilling, no binding feedback or clutch/torque out, it just goes without killing yourself.
  3. They're constantly changing the size of what's available, last time I purchased the more blades you bought at once the sweeter the deal. I picked up 2 of the 26 piece sets and it lasted me a year between myself and my partner, and we use them pretty much every day.
  4. Nothing beats a Nibbler IMO. Quiet, no projectiles, and easy control with the ability to do tight scrolls with ease. Here's an example:
  5. Yea, they're every bit as good if not better than the name brand blades. I've saved a shit ton of cash going with Integra instead. About to refill my set now.

    DeWALT

I think as long as you're not selling on behalf of their image the chance of them coming at you is slim to none. With no reward comes little risk.
  7. 120v or don't bother IMO.

Arm and a dick. I think the kit M12 was retail at like $650 or something.
  9. Yea Florida has a way of pretty much ruining everything else in relatively short order.
  10. That was pretty cool, always wondered what was going on inside of impacts. Taken a few regular drills apart for shits and giggles, the planetary system in Dewalt's hammer drills is more complicated than a modern automatic car transmission. Never seen so many little gears before.
  11. Oh I definitely do for the thin stuff, and they work fantastic...but I do a lot of the thick trim and all of that gets cut with the saw.
  12. I've cut miles of it using the 20v 7/14" miter, it's practically the only suitable material in my climate and use it very frequently. I just keep the blades that are getting dull for wood and use them to cut the fiber, works great and costs me nothing more whilst actually using up the blade. I've actually never bought a hardie blade, expensive af.
  13. The 2mm was in reference to drilling capacity not materials.
  14. Pfft, and tell me when has Dewalt ever thought their recip's were worthy of bragging rights? Every brand has duds that never seem to quite get it right even for generations. Only reason I asked is because nobody had confirmed till now if it was going to be flex or not and that's why I asked. The motors in the outgoing 6.5" are at least 2 years old now and there's always room for improvement. Larger blade diameter results in more rotating mass and faster tooth speed meaning a gear reduction would increase torque without the sacrifice of cutting speed overall. I'm not an engineer but I'd bet money a 20v 7.25" would absolutely work if they wanted it too. If you told me a few years ago they'd have a 1 1/8in SDS Plus out here performing better than a corded tool of the same class with 20v I'd have laughed. Jokes on me.
  15. So it's confirmed that it won't be 20v on release?
  16. So 2mm and some rubber constitute an entirely different tool to you? Strip the casing and revert it back to 20v and it's the same tool. The 2mm likely comes from the larger amperage packs, throw a flexvolt on the 20v and it likely would have identical power to it's 60v counterpart.
  17. Shit, I'm not even in the market for this but I'm thinking about it despite how much I loathe it being 12v.
  18. Table saw I get but the miter should be doing decent. Probably a lot of people already have the 780 and can't justify the upgrade...(me).
  19. Grab your wallet and run, lol. Welcome to the forum!
  20. Great video. Great features! What TPI were you using for the wood blade? Looks like with an even more aggressive blade this thing would totally plow through timber. This isn't my platform but I love that everyone is outshining Dewalt on the features right now, they'll be forced to elevate their game with stuff like this for competition.
  21. I remember when I was little I had the brilliant idea that headlights should have little wiper blades to keep them clear of snow. Damn you Volvo.
  22. Drilled a series of 7/16in holes in concrete today with the SDS, this thing just plows guys. I buried the 16in bit in probably 8 seconds in poured block walls. It's faster than my buddies corded Bosch 1 1/8in SDS even and is more comfortable. My HVAC contractor happened to come buy for rough in and was so impressed he said he's switching to Dewalt from all of his corded tools he's now found obsolete.
  23. There's lots of people doing this out there and more, you can mount literally anything with these mounts because for things that they won't fit on you can just mount them to a piece of plywood and then the tool to the plywood.
  24. It'll go into concrete no problem, I just think heavy steel is going to be pushing it. Might stick but I don't think it would sink it.
  25. I don't think it would have enough ass to fire through 2x and then steel. Actually I don't know of anything that does short of nitroglycerin, lol. But for attaching clips and whatnot, still very useful. Maybe if the steel was quite thin but I think it would lose too much inertia to penetrate much after 2x. As for the semantics of pin vs nail, same thing but Ramset calls them pin's thus so do I.
