  1. Very jealous of the red persuaders!
  2. I've added to the collection since I originally took the pics. Added some Proto and SK to the fold!
  3. Great concept as long as you only have 2 people that want to go camping. I guess you would strap the kids to the luggage rack.
  4. I think that's just wishful thinking.
  5. Great job. My brother works for a mechanical contractor and he's been involved on some demanding installs. Why is there a circulator on the circuit? Isn't there enough pressure from the street to provide flow?
  6. Looks great. How long before a bird came by and ruined your day?
  7. If were talking about tweaks and mods to the forum I have a question/suggestion I know that this forum isn't powered by Vbulletin, but in a lot of the other forums there is a button located on the top of the navigation bar that's typically called "What's New" or "Active Topics" or something to that effect. Clicking on this will bring you into a listing of all of the newest threads regardless of the sub-forum that you're in. I know that on the right hand side, there is a listing of active topics but it's not the same and is some what limited on what it can display to the size of the window. Any way to add that in or if it already exists can you point me in that direction?
  8. Thanks. I've been pleased with the Porter Cable lineup so far. They don't seem to get too much love on the forum though. I feel like I'm a bastard child...lol
  9. Yes, the roof started to leak on my wife's side (Jeep) even with 3 layers of shingles on it. With all of the plants and moss growing on it, someone could have had a nice salad with their steak. The siding was pretty easy considering the garage is just a giant box. No real crazy angles to deal with. I just pulled off the original white siding and left the starter strips on it. Everything was nice and level when I hung the new material. Best part of the garage was that I sold the original siding on CL for $75. I didn't even have to get a dumpster for it.
  10. Thanks - You have to keep them happy at all costs!
  11. Grab the Milwaukee over the Craftsman. Take a good look at the construction and you will see that Craftsman has really dropped off the cliff when it comes to the construction and it's price point. The Milwaukee is a nice box. The only thing I don't like about it was the drawer configuration, not enough shallow drawers for what I do. Also it only comes in a 44", if it came in a 52" I would probably be all over it.
  12. Wow...great deal if they have them in the stores. My local HD hardly ever has any decent clearance stuff out.
  13. They're a little expensive but huge time savers when you're using PEX to re-plumb a house. A friend of mine has a vacation house in Millinocket Maine that is used mainly for snowmobiling. 2 years ago, the town lost power for a couple of days and the house froze up splitting every piece of copper. We went up there and replumbed the entire house using PEX and Sharkbites and had it completed in a day. If we went the traditional route of using copper with standard fittings it would have taken a week. Having the ability to do a run from the basement to the 2nd floor bathroom with no breaks in the line is a huge advantage. Because of what happened we developed a 5 minute process to drain the house once they leave so this doesn't happen again.
  14. I'm a tool user, I take care of all my stuff just for the fact that this stuff isn't cheap and I don'' think anyone can justify replacing an item due too neglect and abuse. Also, I hate to grab something out of the box when going to work on something and have it covered in grease and dirt.

Awesome...Tony Stark has nothing on him.
  16. There's also new laminate/click style options that give the option of a stone finish. A friend of mine just put some down in a bathroom and his dining room and it looks pretty good. Installation was quick and easy as well. http://www.homedepot.com/b/Flooring-Laminate-Flooring-Laminate-Tile-Stone-Flooring/N-5yc1vZbejq
  17. I purchased the $100 version at HD about 8 years ago. I thought I was only going to use it once for a tile project in my bathroom. I've actually used it about 10 times for various projects. It works great as long as you go slow. http://www.homedepot.com/p/QEP-3-4-HP-Wet-Tile-Saw-with-7-in-Diamond-Blade-22650Q/202615612
  18. That's a butt clincher. Knowing you're in trouble and then realizing there's nothing you can do to stop the laws of physics.
  19. Honestly, I don't know how people do it for a living. The garage wasn't that big, but after stripping 3 layers of old roofing, pulling the nails and then humping everything back up on the roof I was ready to call somebody to finish the job. And we still had to do the cleanup on the ground. There are definitely a lot of advantages on having it detached from the house. It gives you the freedom of making as much noise and mess as you want without the worry of disturbing anyone or tracking it into the house.,
  20. That needs to be your #1 priority in life.
  21. For the price point of $600 and the size it's a great value. Once I sold my other 3 boxes for $265, I only had to come up with about $350, so that made it a little bit easier when I went to buy it. I compared it to the 44" at HF and that box is only a little better in it's construction for the same price.
