  1. has a new modular tray system which might help with sorting tools within one box.
  2. super excited to get it. My most expensive tool purchase yet (apart from my pickup truck)
  3. I got a shaper origin and workstation set ordered today from festool products. I also got a Woodpeckers slab flatening mill pro and an Amana bit to go with. I also got 4 extra rolls of shaper tape from Rockler. I probably won't receive any of it until the end of next week.
  4. I like Packout but one of the reasons I wasn't considering switching from Tough System was because of no wall rack and drawers. With the most recent announcements, we are getting both. There's not really anything feature wise that I would be missing from ToughSystem if I switched to PackOut now. I'm still holding off on PackOut because my biggest complaint with Packout is the value. Looking at the PackOut shelving (amongst other packout products) the price is not great. I can spend $120 for the ToughSystem wall rack which maybe doesn't use e track but you get 5 pairs of brackets and an organizer box included. With the Packout, for $150, you get 2 pieces of 24 in e track and 2 shelves. I'm getting more for less with Tough System. Maybe the price if a result of the stronger plastics and higher rated capacities. I think we can all agree if the BlackOut PackOut came to North America everyone would be buying PackOut
  5. husky is sold at Home Depot. On another note I got some new tires for my mower. this time the right ones shipped.
  6. I will probably just have to buy one new.
  7. I guess I will try one more time. @duchessis this still available?
  8. Doesn't TTI make all his wish tools in the Milwaukee brand? (apart from the power washer)
  9. I feel the auto locking side latches are a step in the right direction. not sure why the front latches are plastic but I don't see that as being much of an issue. I heard about some hinge problems but I never looked into it. The modular storage trays look nice but it is kinda disappointing they are sold separate from the large and xl 2.0 boxes. Right now some of DeWALT's resources are going into manufacturing ventilators to help with Covid but that doesn't excuse a lower quality product.
  10. I bought Fusion 360 for one year yesterday for 40% off. I will probably utilize this tool to work on furniture plans and also use it for cnc work. I plan to get a Shaper Origin and will use it in conjunction with the origin. I also got a pair of 15 foot quickloader ratchet straps. They are good straps. I can see advantages and disadvantages to the quick loader straps. They stay much neater than other straps and are built well. Sometimes, depending on the load, it is easiest to throw one end of the strap to the guy on the other side. It would be tricky to do so with a Quickloader. Otherwise I don’t foresee any other potential problem areas. I also replaced my mostly plastic and broken one gallon water jug with a genuine one gallon Yeti.
  11. I have used Black and Decker, Bosch, DeWALT, Festool, and Skill branded sanders. My favorites were Festool followed by Bosch. The Black and Decker Was by far the worst sander I have ever used. I hope to never use one again. Festool corded 5 in random orbital for $205 is what I would recommend for a corded option. You can also get the bare tool cordless/corded for $225.The dust collection and vibration reduction are superb on the Festool sanders. Bosch makes a decent 5 in for around $100. DeWALT’s are also decent. I’m not sure on pricing. If you want rectangular or delta pad orbitals you will pay a bit more if going with Festool. I know DeWALT sells the rectangular pad sanders but it would be without hook and loop paper.
  12. One thing to consider is what material will be used for proper balance between slipperiness and friction. I thought I have heard of felt boards but I could be wrong. A smooth laminate counter material might work. Is epoxy slick enough? If so you could try that. if you want bare wood a nice sand and some paste wax might work.
  13. What did you guys think of Episode two of Pipeline? What were your likes and what were your dislikes? The additions are nice but the pricing is steep in my opinion.

    Shaper Origin

@Eric - TIA Yeah I tried with her but she wasn't responding so I thought maybe I could give this a try. That thing is hard to come by outside buying one brand new.
  15. DeWALT Cordless Fastener is my guess.
  16. A low cost hardwood available in your area is probably the way to go. Oak is common in my area. Poplar is another common one. You could even use framing lumber except it might take more machining and would be much softer.
  17. $2500 is current starting price then goes up from their depending on what you kit out with it.
  18. I might just have to find one elsewhere. The owner doesn't seem to be responding. It was a good price too,

    Shaper Origin

I am looking to buy a Shaper Origin.
  20. What did you guys think of Episode one of Pipeline? What were your likes and what were your dislikes? I liked the 23g m12 nail gun. The light was a nice addition that the stapler does not have. The Impact wrenches were nice and very good upgrades but a new impact wrench every year when other tools are lacking in updates is kinda getting old. I do like the triple led setups on the new impacts and the compact is impressively compact. I liked that the OMTs finally got an update but I felt they were nothing to write about. The M18 variant had more updates I felt like. The new led setup is very nice. The vibration reduction and optimized oscillation angle was also nice. I was hoping to see Starlock but at least it is still compatible with universal fit. The new blade selection is nice I guess. I did not notice any new products in images that were not talked about but I did hear them say next generation lighting is coming which makes me wonder how they can improve their lighting. Their lighting is already extremely good. The next episode will focus on packout and a brand new category for Milwaukee. Everyone is expecting drawer units. I want to see some kind of racking system on par with DeWALT Tough System. I'm not sure what they mean by "new category". Do they mean something very specific like track saw or is it something more generalized/less specific like plumbing, ppe, framing, etc. I do expect more m12, m18, and mx fuel products in episode 3. The focus is on m18, m12, mx, and handtools. They mentioned 20 new m18 products and 12 new m12 products coming in 2020. The 4th and final episode at least announced so far will focus on ppe and lighting. I don't really expect new rockets, rovers, etc. per say but I expect new generation of leds. I think there will be 2 surprises of the week. The first will be a powered respirator in either m12 or m18 because it would be really fitting during this pandemic year. The other I expect will be some kind of wood working tool since the woodworking/carpentry trades tend to get neglected by Milwaukee. I expect the tool to either be a m18 track saw or a tool no one else has in cordless like a 1/2 inch plunge router or a "rotex like" sander.
  21. @duchess I am very interested in this. I am still wondering what all the $1900 includes. Also how would payment be exchanged. I can do Paypal or check. Would either of those options work?
  22. Yeah thats my biggest complaint with it. Otherwise it works great for my snow clients.
  23. single stage is getting a metal auger upgrade and a new 40' throw distance rating
  24. I meant specifically related to the Shaper Origin. For example the shaper tape, systainer storage box, and cutter bits should be 3 different one that came with the kit. What is in this video is what comes with the Origin Sorry for the confusion. I am interested in getting an Origin but it would be nice to know what is included so I know what extra I have to get that’s not included.
  25. 2 stage snowblower coming. It will have powered wheelsWith limited slip differential, lights, steel auger, and 50’ throwing distance. There will possibly be an update to the single stage as well. The vac sounds nice. I’d like the vac to be more of a “dust extractor” style of vac. It is unlikely because most homeowner don’t want to pay a large amount for a vac.
