works with the same chargers is what I heard. So kinda in the same boat as flexvolt.
  2. It's not common on corded tools but crushless motor is nice.
  3. I think its just a standard t groove that most companies use for their track. DeWALT does offer a track connector but I don't think I will need one for now at least. I got the 104 in track to rip down plywood the long way. I also got the 59 in one to rip the plywood the short way.
  4. Figured I could post a few pictures of the flex track saw t1 kit. Heres inside the box without the saw. Not sure what the middle section between the battery and the charger is. Kinda looks like it could hold a second battery but when I try a second battery it does not fit. It is also not a spot for the motor housing because the motor is not in the shape of the opening nor does it sit low enough to be inside the opening. Heres the box with the saw inside. A bit snug but works well enough. here's a picture of the saw on the track set at an angle. Kinda interesting that part of the right half of the saw base tilts with the blade and stuff. When cutting at an angle the saw tends to tilt out of the rail even with anti kickback enabled. Tilt out prevention like the Makita has would be nice. If you were wondering how big the saw is, here is my left hand to help give you an idea on size. I feel like it would be comfortable to use with either hand. Heres a look at the bottom. I found something interesting that isn't really talked about. I found 2 adjustment screws. Possibly used for calibrating the saw for 90? The white portion is the anti kickback mechanism.
  5. connect the tracks?

theres also a new planex coming out I see it being called the planex easy.
  7. Changes I see are grey metal, brushless motor, and option for battery or cord. Would be cool to see an innovative and useful new feature on this saw but I'm not sure what haha.
  8. Wasn't it they could never prove he did or didn't kill his wife?
  9. I noticed the forum looks different. I think it looks nice.
  10. So I finally got the Flexvolt track saw. I am very new to track saws. I currently have the Flex track saw t1 kit, 2 track clamps, one medium track, and one long track. I have seen people use wax and also seen squares specifically for squaring up the track. Do I need wax or a "track square" and if so any suggestions on what to get? Also is there any other accessories or whatever I may need for my track saw besides what I already got?
  11. And yes somehow the tstak holding the flexvolt track saw was upside down in a right side up box. Good thing there was no damage. So far it seems like a very good unit. Figured out a fair bit about it already. I'm sure theres still more to learn about it. It is my first track saw. Would be nice if there was a spot to put a set of track clamps inside the tstak. Maybe there is but I couldn't figure it out.
  12. apparently Husky, commonly referred to as the "home depot brand", is owned by sb&d http://toolguyd.com/tool-brands-corporate-affiliations/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_tool_manufacturers its not all of the companies but includes many of the more known ones.
  13. This came today. I wonder what it is ; )
  14. DeWALT and Porter Cable are both owned by Stanley Black and Decker

so you got delta, soft round, and ridgid round?

I wonder if it is delta only or if a round version will be coming out as well
  17. Yesterday I got to use a Machete (apparently pronounced ma-shet). Today I got to learn how to use a floor sander. It was less exciting than I expected. It has built in dust collection which got my excited cause less cleanup. I found out it is garbage. Hardly picked up any dust. I also got to use a Bosch palm orbital sander with a vac connected to it which was a first. Dust collection was excellent with the orbital.
  18. now you just need 2 complete setups of packout haha.
  19. The surprise was Marc felt the DeWALT corded track saw had better cut quality than his Festool. This was only on the keeper piece though. Festool he said had a better cut on the offcut piece.
  20. New brushless impact wrench is coming.

    New Sander

A new sander is coming. It appears to be a palm sander but it is hybrid. You can either have cordless and hoseless or you can remove the battery and dust filter and attach a power cord and vac hose. Coming this fall.
  22. @Rammstein2609 the wood whisperer has done a review on the corded model and compared it to his Festool track saw and the results were surprising. The cordless version appears to be very similar to the corded model. I thought I seen another comparison of the Europe model flexvolt track saw vs a Festool. Might be worth a watch.
