  1. I'm with you 100% on that. Just got it for my birthday in the beginning of November, and I absolutely love it. What's the chances anyone has heard about a new 18g brad nailer coming out in the near future? I'm contemplating buying the Senco Fusion since I don't really want to buy the previous version of the DeWalt and have a new one come out right after... Would REALLY prefer to stay with the same battery pack in a shiny new DeWalt though if at all possible, especially if it's anywhere near as good as the finish nailer. If anyone from DeWalt is reading this - QUIT DRAGGING YOUR FEET ON THE BRAD NAILER!
  2. That's a nice score right there. Way to take advantage!
  3. Any updates from you guys that have been wearing these for a while now? Still liking them? Are they worth a purchase, or have you moved onto something else? They look pretty awesome...
  4. That's a hell of a score
  5. Was a little skeptical on how it'd come out at first, but after watching the video, I'm actually kind of impressed. Like Jronman, I'm not a huge fan of red brick, but it surprised me how nice it came out. Looked pretty damn good.
  6. Wow. That's some scary stuff. And the moral of your story is 100% true!
  7. That looks fantastic. Great work so far!
  8. Played with it a little bit. Cool idea, but like JMG said, I found it a little clunky. I like the idea though. That being said, I always end up finding out that my original plans tend to change once I actually start moving stuff around. Maybe I'm just a bad planner!
  9. Unfortunately, I'm in the same boat. Really need to work on making some space for a cabinet saw.
  10. Any updates on the dust collection after more usage? And do you have any pics with the dust collection setup? Love the design of this.
  11. Great idea there. Always love seeing people make stuff to work in their apartment. My wife yells at me for making a mess in my garage when I'm working on projects - I couldn't imagine working in an actual apartment. Apparently I need to step up my dust collection game lol.
  12. Let us know how it works out once it's all wired up. I spent way too much time last week looking into garage heaters, so I'm definitely interested in hearing how this ends up.
  13. +1 to that. Trying to finish up Christmas presents in the garage when it was -10 out the other day was miserable. Had me begging my wife to let me build a shop in the basement lol.
  14. Agreed. These look fantastic. I would love to see the process. GREAT job
  15. Agreed. I'm excited to see how this turns out.
  16. Looks awesome! Great work. And more importantly, congrats to you and your wife!
  17. I can't wait til that day eventually comes for me. I'm currently using one of the DeWalt jobsite saws, and while I can make it work good enough for what I need right now, it leaves me wanting more a lot of the time. That'll come a little down the road though. That being said, if you have to go with a smaller jobsite saw like I had to at the time, the DeWalt should be able to handle pretty much anything you throw at it; it has for me at least. I will say this though - it was a pain trying to put through full sheets of plywood before building an outfeed/side extension table. Obviously they weren't designed for that, but sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do.
  18. Welcome aboard! - from one Newbie to another.
  19. That looks exactly like one of my Christmas presents. Also added the 20v circular saw and the Ridgid Oscillating Edge Belt/Spindle Sander (plus a couple gift cards to HD). Not sure yet if I'm keeping the sander or returning it for a shiny new brad nailer that'd probably get more use... Nice little haul either way!
  20. Hey everybody. My name is Steve. I'm new to the forum and just wanted to quickly introduce myself. I've followed TIA on YouTube and Instagram for a while now, and I've lurked around this website without commenting for a little bit, but I figured now was finally a good time to jump in and introduce myself. Currently, I'm a real estate agent/snowplower by trade while I'm waiting for the government to open up hiring for the FAA (went to school to be an air traffic controller). Like the rest of you, I love tools. I've worked some construction in the past, and I also did a bunch of reno work throughout this previous summer. Outside of that, I'm usually working on fixing or building something new for the house that my wife and I bought last year. As I'm sure most of you know, that's a never-ending project. I like it though (most of the time), so I can't complain too much. If you look at my "shop" (aka half of a 2-car garage in transition), you'll see a lot of yellow. The first tools I ever bought were DeWalt (drill/impact driver combo), and for some reason, I normally end up back in the yellow section. That being said, I'm far from a tool snob or fanboy. I really could not care less whether my tools are yellow, red, orange, blue, green, purple, rainbow, etc. As long as they work the way I need them to, that's good enough for me. I am really excited to be here and be a part of the TIA crew. I look forward to reading about things I didn't know about previously and adding to conversations where I may have a little insight. Looking forward to interacting with all of you, Steve
