  1. I suppose "Do you like my Wood" is out
  2. Well my memory is worse than yours. I dont have a problem remembering where I put stuff. I have a problem remembering that I have the tool in the first place ! I do a project and realize I had a gadget that specializes in something and forget to use it If its out and in my face all the time. I might think to use it more. Drawers and cabinets are my worst enemy.
  3. It wasn't that many years ago that you needed to stick with top of the line bits. I have a lot of the CMT bits and some whiteside bits. But the Chinese knockoff bits seem to be about equal in quality now.
  4. Well I doubt you will found a tougher backpack for tools than Veto. The only downside typically (besides price) is the weight. Veto is known to be heavy. However this particular Veto LT weighs in at the same 7.5# as my Milwaukee. But it does so at 2 1/2 times the price.
  5. Couldn't take it anymore. New Veto TechPac LT arrived today.
  6. PS: This is my life too. And the reason that I have moved everything on the wall and visible if possible. If its in a box, I print a label that says what is in the box. Constant reminder of what I have.
  7. I need to come up with a solution for wood sanding disc soon. For steel I just used pegboard and hooks. I like how you labeled your grits and I should the same. Currently I have to take every one off and look at the back to figure it out!
  8. What is your primary use for it? I have a dewalt compact router which has never had anything but a round-over bit in it. Works great and my most used router. No dust collection though which is OK.
  9. As far as the festool you are looking at the big dog. That thing is an animal and more than I would want to use (as setbuilder said). If you wanted Festool, I would like at the 1400 instead. Are you set on the track? I have a Festool and complete track setup and rarely use it. And regarding Festool they make nice routers but I have to say I like the dewalts I have owned as well or better when it comes to ergonomic, which is important on a router. What fits your hand will do the best work. And finally, I would not want to be without plunge on at least one router. Multiple routers is ideal
  10. Yea but when you have a $20K table saw you need stuff to match Cant be slumming. In all fairness he has mentioned he has been collecting this stuff over 38 years.
  11. Every time I watch his videos I think I must live in a totally different world. This guy has tools I never knew existed !
  12. Keeps you at home. I tell the wife it could be worse. I could be out drinking on a bass boat or hanging with trashy women But seriously, I love watching your restorations.
  13. Apparently there was only two weeks of this where I live because mine are shutdown too.
  14. Love your old tool restorations. Nice jointer!
  15. Well you need to trace it out. Keep in mind there is one wire that either connects to hot or ground to tell the head unit you are backing up. That is working because your head unit is going black. If properly done your camera power should be fused. good luck.
  16. Something has to power the camera. The Yellow line with RCA connector that goes into your Pioneer is nothing more than a video output signal. The one you linked has a DIN style connector where it gets its B+ (power). if your connector you are talking about looks like this. Then there is more because that wont power the camera.
  17. I think you will find another small box to power the camera. The whole setup should look something like this.
  18. Could be bad camera or bad fuse or power supply module. The camera should be a RCA style connector for the video but the camera needs power so there is an inline module to do that. At least on all the Pioneers I have had.
  19. Their business model has changed drastically in the 4 decades I have bought stuff from them. For the worse. In the end they were just a poorly run cell phone store.
  20. He used a pocket knife and carved them
  21. Looks nice. Except for color and the level, it looks about the same.
  22. You know putting your tool in somebody elses box usually gets you in trouble.
  23. Shorten your bench where it currently sits. Rebuild a short section of identical bench with wheels and just roll it out into place when you need it and attach some sort of wing to support your stock. When done, roll it back in place and you will basically have what you have now.
  24. LOL, used mine yesterday and it was a mess. Stuff out of pockets and could not find anything. I need to try out the technology Veto LT. I dont want all the bulk of big one and just keep a minimal set of tools. Can pull out bags for other jobs.
