  1. Thanks for link. I dont see where that would work on a track though. You can bet its coming soon.
  2. LOL Dust extraction performance is identical too.
  3. Looks like someone has been doing some photo-shopping. Exact picture.
  4. Its more than a track. Notice it has dust collection on it.
  5. I think that is discontinued so would have to find old stock or used. My saw that leaves the garage for deck and fence work is a Hitachi and it works great. I dont think the casting material will hold up to much abuse though but its been a fantastic saw.
  6. About 3 1/2" thick for a large timber before it hits the washer on the blade attachment bolt. If its a narrow tall board I have cut almost 5".
  7. Yea it would be great to get the noise and unit outside but I would have an issue with pumping all my heat outside. Not sure how significant it is but have to think you would have to add fresh are and the heat lost where I live would be significant.
  8. Best or best bang for buck? In my opinion the Festool Kapex is the "best" but its price makes it a low bang for buck. Bosch would probably be my second choice.
  9. Yes that. Was not sure what it was. I am guessing that is some store of Thein design. Pulls the bulk of your chips out before it gets to the actual dust collector.
  10. I agree. I ordered more 3/8" last night to fit my 3/8 bit. These are actually metric and I dont have good metric bits for them. I should check my FastCap powerhead countersync. It might be the right size.
  11. Rare earth magnets. I get as much use playing with them as using them. They get used for shop stuff.
  12. What is the unit on the barrel? Is that some sore of Thien baffle or something?
  13. Looks great. Nice selection ! Are the black handled ones the JET clamps?
  14. Slow process but got it 80% done. Have a half dozen or so more tools to mount. Will remove all the mounts to apply poly and then put them back on. And build a dove tail drawer. Not sure If I am doing one large or three small.
  15. We have never had any damage from any of them with the exception of Buddy who would often steal my tools and I would have to chase him down to get them back. This is him about a week after we got him And this was him 3 years later just before getting hit by a car. Absolutely the best pet ever. He kept us laughing ALL the time.
  16. We live on an acreage and have raccoons for friends! The one in picture is Buddy. We bottle fed him from a baby. Unfortunately he is no longer with us, but he thought we were his parents. See my avatar. But currently we have at least 3 that show up every night for cookies.
  17. Off little early today. So fun begins.
  18. Ran out to the Woodsmith store and picked up some maple dowel rods, screws, little project wood axles that might make good tool hangers and some finish. So this weekend I can start the task of making tool mounts so I can hang chisels, saws, marking gauges, rulers, squares, etc. I am sure that will take longer than building the cabinet.
  19. Yea only "little people" around my shop look like this.
  20. I use 16 gauge finish nailer and pin nails for outside corners to pull things up if needed.
  21. Assume that is cast. What did you weld it with? Looks good.
  22. Time for trim. I am sure its going to take a lot of time making little maple mounts to hold all the saws, chisels, planes, marking gauges, etc.
  23. The tool cabinet is going together. Screwing everything I can that does not show and using the Domino on the rest that does show. Tonight I should have the carcass together and can start working on the trim.
  24. LOL, I understood what he said as soon as he said it. The old "misc bucket". That was my daughters duty as well. Dump the bucket and sort through and find what you want. Then have the kid put it back. Makes sense to me
